Easy to forget what an incredible period that was for the team (I won't say the club because of old Scrooge Oyston being at the helm with no investment).
Final game before Xmas (although two weeks before the big day was the 1-0 win away at Stoke on the 11th, then the 28th we went to Sunderland and won 2-0, came so close to pulling off a surprise at Man City on New Year's Day only losing 1-0, the the real disappointment of that 2-1 home defeat to Brum before the infamous 2-1 win against Liverpool.
We then had that five game run of defeats against really average teams like West Brom, West Ham and Sunderland (again) which was the only real sticky point of the season but sadly one of the reasons for our eventual relegation.
Happy days though!
