John Deary would always urinate on the centre spot when the team used to train on the morning of a match at Bloomfield Road.

Stanley Mortensen
South Shields-born Mortensen went to war in 1939 as a teenage wireless operator and overcame an injury – sustained when his RAF bomber crashed, leaving him as the only survivor – to be signed by Blackpool in 1941. While stationed at RAF Lossiemouth in Scotland, he played several unofficial matches for Aberdeen also turning out as a guest for Arsenal with an impressive scoring record (25 goals in 19 appearances).
He also had a metal plate inserted in his head after the wartime plane crash.

Peter Suddaby taught maths at LSA college whilst on the books at BFC at the start of the 70's. Even when he was in the first team and winning the Anglo Italian Cup.

An ex Blackpool manager was once presented 'a pro' in a bar called Harrys in Singapore (the Harrys that used to be by The Towers near Muddy Murphys).

He looked well happy!
