I think this is quite possibly the best 2 minutes I have ever filmed and despite the result today you are going to be so proud of our fans who deserved to WIN today they really did.

Never I have filmed something that completely sums up why Blackpool FC have been my LOVE AFFAIR and why I am so proud to be a part of this Seaside Family.

Pound for pound we out sing anyone and everyone this will make you even more proud to be a Seasider than I know you already are.

ENJOY #UTMP

But it won't win us the points we need. I'd rather have an unbeatable team in a library at the moment.

No it won't and it didn't 1966 but I wouldn't I'm proud to be a part of this journey, proud of our support today (who didn't get what they deserved) proud that we sung for 90 minutes and whatever happens I'm proud to be a Seasider.

We can't make them win no matter how loud we sing and the sending off cost us all 3 points, we can't affect that but I truly feel they would have won today but for that.

And that quite frankly was the best support I have ever seen

Yeah it was like.... celebrate the goal...

Then they score straight away.

A few seconds to take it in and.....

Back to celebrating Jerrys goal.

👍👍

That’s all very nice, but unfortunately myself and my wife/kids found ourselves in our own seats next to the Huddersfield fans, when the first goal went in we were crushed by maybe 200 of our own pissed up idiots, then on moving from our seats spent the rest of the game getting pelted with coins etc.
Very poor from our own idiot element today!!!!

That was awesome support today even
In adversity we kept on going to the end, proud of every one of the fans today just brilliant 👍🏻

Learning to read the layout of an away end is a vital skill. I bring along an 8 year old. Even he can assess an end to see where the trouble spots are going to be so we can go stand somewhere else.

Not hard really.

Nothing even close to that near where we were? No crushes nor coins being thrown, that sounds awful, we had an amazing day apart from the result obvs

Brilliant Lee...

As you say, we really are a special bunch and after all we have been through, the camaraderie and vocal passion that we now project from the stands is second to none.

Didn't get what we deserved today (at least a point) but loving life under SS and NC!

UTMP 🍊🖒
Sending off cost us and the magnificent travelling support definitely deserved more

Honestly Lee I’m not exaggerating, I’ve watched your video and your 2 blocks from where we were, my 9 year old daughter was crushed by one of our pissed up fans, and trampled on, disgusting behaviour from grown men!!!

Awful Lee, I watched the video could of been from a different game👎
why is it awful? your experience is nothing like mine I was most definitely at a different game to you. We experienced nothing like what you did and this video is pretty clear that we didn't. I can only show my experience I cannot show yours can I? sorry you had a bad time

I believe you, as I said it sounded awful but until you posted I would have never known? it was bloody awesome where we were

Lee you sit in front of me in the Armfield stand, I’ve followed pool for 40 years with my dad, I take my kids now, that was the worst I’ve ever seen from pool fans!!!
I took my boy to Birmingham and our fans were bad, but today, I’m just ashamed that my wife and little girl seen that.
Just ashamed to be a part of that today.

Im not disputing it as I say I'm sorry you had a bad time but we didn't. The video is my experience and my video is not awful it's a great video. Your experience was awful but your experience is not my video. I'm sorry you had an awful time I don't know what else I can say?

Lee, you can’t say anything at all, maybe do some hard hitting stories on Blackpools away following, I’ve never seen pool fans behave like this, even 30 years ago,?, must be a story in this?

I could if I actually see it or experience it. I try my best to focus on the good stuff in the main but if something like what you experienced had happened to us then absolutely. Jane wasn't happy that we couldn't sit in our seats at Forest and has complained through Steve Rowland. I didn't mind because I preferred where we sat on that video but you should definitely report it to Steve as that shouldn't happen

The atmosphere and singing is amazing but sadly some of my group have injuries and can no longer stand for 90 minutes. They certainly couldnt withstand being clattered in a goal celebration. Maybe we just have to accept that we are old and away days are a thing of the past but after more than a hundred years of combined watching, could anything be done? Maybe a sitting area for young families and the old perhaps?

As I said to the guy above (whose response was to send me private messages wanting to fight me), reading the away end is a vital skill.

Is there an area with a segregation between home and away fans? This will be a flash point.

Does the away end reach directly behind the goal? This will be a flash point.

Huddersfield has both. Anyone with a functioning brain wouldn't put their children there.

But muh "Allocated seats"... Its an away end. No-one sits in allocated seats. Anyone who insists upon doing so (other than accessible spaces) is a weapon.

Sorry to derail your thread Lee, its a cracking video.

In May 1968 I went to my first big away game without my parents. I was aged 12 and I proudly got the coach to Huddersfield Town's Leeds Road ground for the last game of the season. We won 3-1 and I and thousands of other Blackpool fans thought we had been promoted back to the First Division (top tier). Unfortunately QPR scored in the last minute to pip us to 2nd place on goal average. The pitch was a sea of mud & the disappointment was terrible. But that and getting smacked by quite a few opposition fans is what we got in the 60/70s. We never complained, we enjoyed it! It's all part of supporting your club. If you don't to see trouble, avoid it. Sit or stand somewhere safer. Sorry to show my age, but back in the day, they used to break off slates at the back of the kop roof and throw them. They also used to throw bricks from the old railway line on to the kop. Today's kids aren't that bad are they?

No worries I totally agree with you simple logic would also tell me hang on...Huddersfield/Blackpool Fans within a few feet of each other? not a place I fancy standing and talking to Guys at the Armfield Club today the throwing stuff was started by the Huddersfield fans and it was going a bit back and forth. No excuse for it I find that sort of thing inexcusable but it seems a bit six of one half a dozen of the other

A completely different era and mindset I am quite pleased it is not like that anymore but yes the kids of today are nothing on that sort of thing. As we all know too well a few people did actually get killed back in those days. Football violence was really horrendous but we have come a long way since then and it really doesn't sit well with how things are now. It's always a shame if someones day gets ruined but we didn't see anything of that where we were it was an incredible atmosphere and a brilliant day up until the sending off.
