24 hours later and I am still as discusted as I was last night! No not with the players, no not with Neil Chrichley but with the many thousands of fans that our manager has been praising every game for their tremendous support!
Fans were streaming out of the stadium as soon as Huddersfield got their 3rd,
that with over a third of the match to go?
That is not what I call fantastic support! As we brought on the subs and at last looked like we were going to give it a go there was just the Huddersfield fans singing their heads off, most pool fans had gone home!
I can honestly say in over 50 years of supporting the pool I have never seen this level of desertion.
There has always been the early leavers for what ever reason but last night was an unreal experience.
The players at the final whistle came over to applaud the very few fans that were left.
I was embarrassed to be a Blackpool fan and I wasn't on my own.

Happens everywhere if a side is losing heavily with not long to go and no hope of coming back.

We stayed until the end and if you watch on ttv its only really emptying in the last minutes.

Before you jump to conclusions, I had a season ticket every year before I moved out this way. Guess what? I never left early. It’s weak and shows the backbone of some of our fans.
I can’t get over as much as I’d like due to work. So snidy little comments like that aren’t welcome.

If you have been supporting the club for 50 years then you have a short memory.
The 5-0 drubbings by York in early 90’s spring to mind.
Hardly a Pool fan left in the ground by full time.
Bournemouth more recently.

Just watch MOTD more often and see the reaction of other supporters when they are getting hammered.
I remember Leeds fans leaving early when we were 5-0 up!

Oh. It wasn’t a joke then?

I think it’s valid that whether I’m at home watching it or actually at the game I would never turn it off or leave because the result isn’t going my way. It’s childish and to me shows the fans as spitting their dummy out. But that’s what’s wrong with the world these days. Everyone wants everything NOW.

I’m struggling with this now, you’re not joking? Honestly?

At least I don’t use language that is disrespectful to people with disabilities when someone disagrees with me.

And it’s not that I don’t go to games, it’s that I can’t get to a lot of them.

Toxic little man.

It sounds like you were on your own as most folk left early

What a ridiculous OP

I very much doubt you have been going to games for 50 years if that was the worst you have seen in terms of fans leaving early

Well done for watching the whole game on tv

Proper fan that 👌

As threads go this is up there

Proper whoppers with fans who don't go to games because they live in Leeds slagging fans who do go to games

Well done again for watching on tv, some achievement that kid

Probably best if you stop posting lad as you are looking ridiculous

Well if I am and anyone else apart from you thinks that, then I’ll accept it.

Makes a change from you embarrassing yourself week in, week out.

I watched in TTV and was astounded by the amount that left too. I watched the game right to the end in my living room even when it was certain we weren’t getting anything from the game. I could never turn my back on the team like that.
Well you would have my vote for fan of the year. What a trooper.

Just because people move out of the cess pile that is blackpool town to better themselves, their family's and their careers does not mean they can't support the mighty BFC from afar.

Maybe you're happy selling rock on the prom for the rest of your life, or working in sports direct. But the fact it that there is absolutely fuck all on blackpool worth staying for other than the club.

I'm sure many people who have moved away would love to be able to go to games still and the fact that your dissing someone who clearly cares passionately about the club and lives too far away is just out of order.

Edit: just to confirm to you all, even though I can't get to every game, I still have a season ticket and come whenever I can. I just don't live in cesspool anymore - where everyone's best pair of trousers are tracksuit bottoms, and your idea of nice meal out is the local Greene King....

The maddest thing is actually thinking you are the better fan, slagging fans who went the game off but saying you never turned your telly off 🤣

I thought it was a parody account at first. Mozalini esque.

What’s next? Moaning at fans at the match for not wearing colours as he wears a full strip sat on his sofa watching Tangerine TV?

I didn't leave but I can understand the ones that did,why spend half an hour watching a clueless team going through the motions and dieing a slow painful death and have the pleasure of paying for it?. Yes we are supporters but Tuesday night, second half there was nothing to support. The players are grown up adults,I'm sure they will understand, some supporters feelings.Football is an entertainment industry and that, quite simply was not entertainment if you are of a Blackpool persuasion.

If that's all you've to worry about then it's not too bad is it🤷‍♂️

I recall Fleetwood beating Skelmersdale Utd 11-0 many years ago and their fan didn't leave early. 👍

Aye what a complete ignorant prick you are. Jog on.

From someone who has lived in three UK cities, two national parks and South America, I’m very happy to say moving back to the Fylde has been ace. Maybe it’s also to do with who you know which makes someone happiest in life.

Not gonna get involved in this leaving early malarkey.
Just want to point out what an absolute dick you are. Blackpool is our town and our team and it may have it's problems but I've yet to hear anyone apart from opposition fans call it a shithole or in your case "cesspool". i'm proud to come from Blackpool whether it has it's problems or not. No doubt, when asked by people where you come from you'd probably lie and say Lytham St Annes.

With an average of 12m visitors a year, who needs your senile comments.

What a dickhead post.

I'm ashamed to say that I left with 5 minutes to go. Never done it before. I knew there'd be a rush for the exit.
One excuse is that I wanted me, and my walking stick, down the few steps so as not to be knocked over (bad balance).

Your use of the phrase 'fuck all "on" Blackpool' is very suspicious.

No I don't actually, I rather begrudgingly say blackpool.

Why would I want to say Lytham? Oh yes, I remember. Because its actually kind of nice round there, and I'm glad you can admit it 🙂

"begrudgingly"? you really are a bellend.
Another new user name with probably more than one. Suddenly finds AVFTT after so many years. Yeah right.

What do you wear? Farah slacks?

Where would you describe a nice meal out?

Let’s find out a bit about you Swann and then we can see the barometer.

Is there a Sports Direct where you live?

Many of the players will have done the same thing before they became footballers - no matter who they support.....that's a paying supporters choice.
