3 player game.

I thought Grimmy did too and CJ did really well again, I just don't get this hatred towards him, he's decent and all our managers have picked him this season.

Thorniley is the one player we have to sign on a new contract at the end of the season, he is Mr Consistent and I would get Nelson too as they are a great partnership. I thought Josh caused problems again today too.

A great partnership ? They are not.

Rogers
Patino
Gabriel.

All been criticised but all stepped up to the plate today.
Credit to the whole squad of course. ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘
A tad reductive Insider. Thorniley played well, Fiorini was good at passing, Josh was very incisive with his passing, Grimshaw defended his goal well. There was effort all over the pitch.

for me any defensive pairing has to include Ekpiteta who i think is comfortably our best defender.Nelson has done well but he like Ekpiteta is right sided. Thorniley has overall done well but I certainly would like some-one taller.

And quicker

I canโ€™t stop coming back to how important Keogh was to us.
Indeed. You don't realise how good he was til he left. He's probably a fair bit slower than Thorniley but he just always seemed to get his positioning right and no doubt was a good talker and organiser of that back line.

CJ has done more than Bowler since returning, his touches are usually alright and if played in he'll get balls into the box.

He does have games and moments of really poor quality, but so do a lot of them.

With his pace, if he had the touch and skill of Bowler when he's at it, he'd be nowhere near Blackpool.

He's a decent player when at it and hard to defend against, but has his flaws too.

Thorniley is great but his injury record is a bit of a concern, we can't afford to sign people who will be out often. Maybe it was those concussions that I'm thinking of more than anything.

He's always been good though whenever called upon.
