i had this bet today. lavery first scorer and two nil. just had a hunch that it would come in. one massive pound. off course i was counting down the minutes . thirty four pounds return. has anyone else had anysort of bet football or otherwise when you just knew it would come in. not boasting either. dont bet regurlarly either, just a fun way to kick off the season..

You occasionally get a feeling don’t you something will happen and you beat the bookies.

I won quite a bit in our first season back in Championship when away from home with Yates or Bowler to score and a Pool win.

It’s a nice feeling when you make money on top of a Pool win. Well done!

I bumped into a bloke and his two lads at Lime Street station today. One of the lads was wearing a Lavery shirt. I said "off to the match then" and after the dad replied he asked me what I thought the score would be. I replied "two nil - and we'll miss loads of chances". One of his lads agreed and his dad said "Lavery will score". Not a bad set of assessments all in.

My mate who I was sat with had the same bet, he didn't tell me until after Lavery had opened the scoring and we usually have the same bets 🙄

Our last promotion from this level we were 8/1 for promotion in the March. Seemed to me like printing ££ the form we were on at that time.with the playoffs I'd take us everytime.

Remember kids though - you never see a bookie on a bike 😁

You do occasionally get a feeling in the water don't you. Or is that just age?

My classic was the Fleetwood bowling festival in 2006, when it was still a much larger field than now. Probably a 512 entry. Good friend of mine was in the form of his life, one of the best in the area. The traveling bookies wouldn't have known anything about him, he would have likely been a bare minimum of 75-80/1, probably well over 100/1.

I just knew he was going to win it and he did. And just as certainly, I didn't follow up my conviction.

i THINK my last sort of betting hunch was the grand national round about 2016/17. IT as a horse with Arthur in the name. Uncle Arthur is a David Bowie song. being quite a fan i put my one pound one. it did come in. but it was well fancied so it was just the name. If i was to put the same bet on Lavery again which i will be doing. Will it come in again. Probably not. And I wouldnt get the same odds . cos all you lot out in BFC land will be taking my betting advice and piling on . :):)

My son had FLEETWOOD on a spread bet , They had to get to fifty points or so. i think he made a few pounds . dont know exactly how it woorks but you have to get to the points value or you lose for every point that you didnt get. Steven said we are 76 points . I dont think he is going on that one.

Numbersixvalverde grand national can’t remember the year only horse in the field that liked it muddy. Gutted I only put a tenner on.😔

I won just short of £1500 on promotion alone and won loads more on in-game bets on us that season.
Every time I won I put a few more £s on us for promotion 🤗

Before the home game against Spurs, my cousin said have a fiver on for Pool to win3-1.
His first ever game watching Pool was in the sixties against Spurs and we won by the same score.
Was I the only home fan saying get in!!when they scored to make it 3-1.
Pocketed £165🤣🤣

I had Lavery to score, Blackpool to win and over 2 goals... the bloody opportunities we had.
However a few years ago when we had the bookies in the ground pre season friendly against Wigan had a pound on us to win 5-1.
I was the only person jumping up and down in the North when Wigan got an injury time consolation goal.

I always put a £15 ew bet on us to win the league, regardless and that paid out on 3rd spot, hence the last game heart in mouth of the regular season as we secured thar 3rd place finish.

I had a quid on Eardley to score first v Everton in the Prem, in the warm up he was whipping them in. 66/1.

Marv is always worth a first goal and anytime quid.
He will be 50's before long and only needs 2 a season which normally come in. Screenshot_20230806_175707_Instagram.jpg

My son doesn't normally bet but asked him to have a go on build a bet on my account. Lavery brace and under 2.5 goals, I said I think you've made a mistake there but the odds tumbled when changed to over 2.5 goals.
Changed back to original bet at 130/1 cash out is very stressful and he rode his luck till the 90th minute before caving in. £2.50 bet generated £236. He's bought a do-er upper house so that's a room getting plastered. 😆👍

Had a bet on Blackpool at half time when Ladbrokes had counters behind the stands and you could bet at half time . We were battering Coventry ,but could not score in the first half . They then had a man sent off near the end of the first half . I put a couple of quid on 4-0 to Blackpool at 33s . They did not take into account that they only had 10 men on the pitch.

cashed out today . thirty four pounds. never win much but just pleased with our result more than anything. stuck it in the HALIFAX. sons birthday next week.

I was convinced that Djokovic and Alcaraz would meet in the Wimbledon final and that Alcaraz would win. I couldn't find a bookie that would take a bet on it.

How does this cash out lark work then? I only bet once a year on the national, but someone mentioned lavery 50-1 top scorer in the division so I decided I liked that and put £5 each way on. If he's going well mid season can you "cash out" any bet or is it only certain ones under certain conditions?

Would've been better going to the Pound Bakery!
