4 in 7

* 4 wins in our last 7 will be enough to stay up
* That equals 47 points
* 4 of our last 7 games are at home
* The best chance of 4 wins would most likely be: Cardiff, Wigan, Birmingham (away) and Millwall
* Get the 4 wins and we will be in 7th heaven 👍
Give over. Not a snowball’s.

Has anyone got hold of Mad Mick's team for Friday yet? That way we can see if we're likely to get any points at all.

The most important game is the next one and that is Cardiff. Fail to win that and I can't see any way back. Please, play our best players in the right positions and we've got a chance. The latest Cardiff manager Lamouche has got them playing some decent stuff and they will be smarting after conceding the winner in the 99th minute against Swansea. Cardiff's right winger Philogene is a real danger man and if our left side is Hubby and CJ again then I fear the worst.

People who’ve given up should remember the 1988/89 season.
Our form going into the last five games was McCarthyesque - W1 D3 L10; nobody gave us a chance of staying up.
We then proceeded to win 4 and draw 1 and miraculously stayed up by a point.
Coughlin’s majestic free kick at Swansea was a fitting way to secure safety - I’m sure all of us that were there will never forget it.

4 in 7 is do-able, but there is a really good reason we are effectively bottom of the league. That's not bad luck or injuries.

Yes maybe that free kick goal at Swansea is a more fitting memory of the now sadly departed Russell than that penalty miss at Notlob.🤔

We've been hoping for our best players to be played in their best positions all season long, and I can't recall it happening once. Anyone expecting it to suddenly happen on Friday will be disappointed I think. The best players will be sat on the bench (if they've not been left out completely), and we'll bring them on when we're chasing the game, because the players with decent attitudes haven't displayed the quality to control the game. As per normal this season.
I despair at managers with loads of experience still being unable to grasp very simple concepts. Hard work off the ball means nothing if you lack quality on it.

We need to win the home games against Cardiff and Wigan if we do that then we will hopefully be out of the bottom three. I firmly believe if we
can get above QPR and Reading with 2 or 3 games to play we can stop up.
Our biggest problem is goal scoring, especially with the young loan players. In the league Fiorini, Poveda, Rogers, and Patino have scored
3 goals between them which is the same as Kenny Dougall on his own, or Lyons since January. Rogers has played 10 games now without a goal
and really needs to start scoring if we have a chance of staying up.

Totally agree - Friday is key and actually Huddersfield closing in on Cardiff has done us a favour as they won't just want to come for the draw.

I agree. It's interesting that the closest we got to playing our best players in their best positions was probably against QPR. And that didn't turn out too badly. But obviously the manager must be seeing something we don't 🤔
