I Don’t now I’ve never asked him the topic I’am talking about was food shortages nothing else here.

As for me I remember going to Turkey a good few years ago and on going through passport control you had to put a tenner in your passport just to get in (yes granted it was Turkish lira back then)
After the last 12 months we’ve had my time of visiting Europe has all but ended I’ve recently bought a holiday home in the lakes so the roaming charges won’t apply to me so I’ve no thoughts on it really.
As the saying goes it is what it is.
What has visiting Turkey got to do with anything? They are not and never have been in the EU.
Some of us actually do want to carry on visiting Europe despite Brexit.
So to summarize, as long as Brexit doesn't effect you, your cousin or your holiday home in the lakes, we can view it as a massive success?

Last one from me as Dog is stood with his lead on waiting to go out.
The success for me is being free from Brussels, we can now make our own rules and trade with who we want to.
Oh and as for success I won’t mention the UK Covid vaccine programme, but no go on then I will compared to the farce of the EU. 😂👋

Jaffa doesn't half talk some bull shit.

Timber is going up in price weekly as stocks are so low due to lack of stock coming in from Europe. We have a shortage of cement, building materials, plants, 50% reduction in the number of plants in the country because of Brexit (Fact - read the industry growers reports) add to that a 50% reduction in Eastern European workers who have worked in the horticultural world here for decades, non eback home because of Brexit (Fact). These are the areas I work in. I am having to increase my prices by 20% just because of the rise in costs and that's if I can actually get the stuff. My clients have to bare the brunt of this and it is only going to increase.

I am sure there are many other businesses I am not an expert in are suffering the same, I await the who can enlighten us.

But then as long as we keep out these dirty foreigners and live the xenophobic red neck life then crack on, I'm sure you're all having a ball.
The price of steel has risen by as much as 100%. It's impossible to say how much of this is brexit related and how much is covid related. 50% of the business where I work was export to EU countries pre January. Because of delays to delivery and up front VAT being charged to our customers which affects cash flow hugely, transport costs rocketing and transport companies charging demurrage whilst they wait for the VAT and Import duty to be paid, this could easily be 0% of our business by next January. Getting pallets to Italy is currently taking a month as opposed to the 4 days prior to Brexit. There has been no improvement to this in the first 6 months of the year and we fully expect to see redundancies. Ironically a number of staff voted leave.

It's convenient that when these xenophphobic Brexiteers are confronted with hard facts they don't have the bollocks to come back and give their defence. Why? Because there is no defence. It was a fuck up for all the wrong reasons.

Edit
As for your link it’s forecasting it’s not actually happened has it? It’s like the forecast people said on here supermarkets would be short of food but that was 12 months ago.
Half this board said Madine wouldn’t be signing a new contract but was already making plans to move.
It’s called bollocks as I keep saying.
Anyway off out with the Dog now. 👋
Jaffa

No point wasting your time with some on here. They can't and won't accept that we've left the EU. It's what the majority of those who voted wanted. They are just sad and angry individuals behaving like little children because the result didn't go their way and they didn't get what they wanted. Boo hoo.

No I love the replies I get, piss myself laughing at most of them.

Totally agree with you mind. 👍

The ones about people being made redundant are especially hilarious, like message #54 from noahnear.
Unfortunately shit happens.

A hell of a lot more people have lost their jobs through Covid even more have died as a result of it.

Would have been even more deaths had we remained in the EU over their vaccine debacle.

.
I’ve done my time working. 🇬🇧
Well I think you should stop idling around and get yourself a nice little job in a pub or a shop or picking fruit. I understand they are crying out for workers.

That’s the problem with people in this country - work shy. And not only that - greedy too. Expecting more than the minimum wage 😡 .
