A silly Friday thread (may have been posted before)(if you were a fifty's/sixtys Child)!

I suppose I would say I was a mod in the sixties. Well I had a parker and went everywhere on the back of my mates scooter. I remember one day going down Devonshire road on the back of the scooter and a greaser on a big fuck off motor bike coming the other way tried to kick us off it as he was passing 💀 Great times though.

Great times indeed, I felt like a rocker, but dressed more like a mod.

Started off by buying my dads Honda 50 then bought a BSA Bantam and then when i passed my test i bought my last bike which was a 600cc Norton Dominator. Obviously not a Mod.
Forgot to mention that the Norton had crash bars front and rear and was a beast.

Rocker.
Ridden many bikes over the years, the first being a CZ and other than that, a Cagiva and a Yamaha RD250, I've been a Honda man in the main. I'm currently riding a BMW R1250R.

Definitely rocker. My first bike a Royal Enfield continental gt, only a 250. When I passed my test a bought a BSA 500 gold star, looked like a dream and went like a rocket. They also made a 650, but the 500 was quicker. I was going out with a girl from Rochdale, stayed overnight, got up late and in the days before motorways flew over Belmont etc. and made it to work in 53 minutes. Those were the days, as Mary Hopkin said.

Neither really, mopeds and smaller motorbikes, but did hang around with MOD's, Quadrophenia times, Secret Affair etc. You were more prone to getting a slap off a Skinhead than a Rocker.

Could never make my mind up. Had long hair and wore a parker and Ben Sherman shirts and had mates who had scooters and and motor bikes

I had all the leathers, jacket covered in pool badges, black crash helmet.. and rode a 50cc "twist and go" Puch moped. I must have looked a right lemon....

Bought a brand new LI150 from John Halls at 17 was in the Seasiders Scooter club.

A few years later I bought a Honda 500/4 from John Halls although I never became a rocker, just loved the motor bike so much more than a scooter.
My brother never spoke to me for a fortnight cos I bought a motorbike. 😂

Before my time, but as i’ve now got a cbr600 I would prob have been a rocker...
I love the who, kinks, northern soul etc, but scooters are pretty embarrassing really aren’t they....😎

I keep looking at the scooter copies that are out there (royal alloy etc). I really fancy the idea of being out on a sunny afternoon cruising the leafy avenues of Sunderland. Reality then kicks in as I know I’d look a right tw@t - middle age crisis over!

Started with Honda 50, passed my test, and got a triumph bonneville, definitely a rocker, then met the wife who was a mod, compromised, and got a ford anglia.
