A thank you for Rhys Williams

Completely missed the header prior to the OG but other than that did ok and looked well happy with the win

Before joining the action he was running the line by the West stand, with a bib on. The ball came into the stand and he was motioning with his palm downwards, as if to say, 'don't hurry to return the ball.'

This proves you are such a dick . Imagine if you were a teenager having to play for the knobbers and in the same position as he was. This is the lowest I think any pool fan has got . Your a bully and a coward that hides behind a keyboard and I am glad I don't have the privilege of knowing you.
Eh i said thanks

A thank you for doing your job for 10 mins or so

Nice one
I get the point you’re making Phil, it should be a given and if we are going down this route, we need a post for every player.

A ‘thank you’ post is different to a critique on player performance. I don’t think we can say much about the 10 minutes he was on, as most of the action was at the other end.

I see Phil has got a disciple then . Well while you can go and relax after a great result . He has to go and face his family and friends . He never wanted to play in this game ,but due to the shortage of defenders was brought on. He did a professional job and celebrated with the team . He will now go home and be lambasted . Phils post are usually negative and cause more arguments between pool fans then any Knobber post . Then when someone has pointed out he was wrong or out of order he just disappears.

I bet he's quickly realising how much more fun it is being a part of the pool compared to that stagnant boring pile of dross that is pke 🤪

This shouldn’t even be a live issue- the vast majority of English born players will have grown up supporting their local team, and most will have had to play against them at some point
How many Blackpool born players have had to come back and play against us?
He’s a professional footballer early in his career and obviously that will come way ahead of who he supported as a boy

The most obvious example would be Barkhauizen when he was a knobber

A disciple, that’s hilarious. You’ll find that Phil and I have rarely if ever shared the same views. In fact our views are usually polar opposites.

You’re going a little over the top with this. It’s his job, and they’d be poor family & friends if they took it out on him.

I can't imagine when I was Rhys age experiencing what he did on Saturday - a full, bouncing Bloomfield Road, coming on for the final 10+ minutes, adrenalyn flowing & knowing that our defence is under pressure ..... he showed maturity in managing his task & celebrating with his team mates. His texts after the game & the bitter response from the nobbers makes things all the sweeter. Well done Rhys, now push on and aim for consistency during this very tough season 🍊

even if you don’t agree with him, he’s one of the only people on here who actively identifies himself and puts his opinions out there with him being known to us all. Hardly a coward or hiding.

You can disagree with him but literally 99.9% on here wouldn’t do that me included.

Only BFC AVFTT'ers could fall out with each other over a young players 10 mins appearance in our epic win over the Nobbers.
As my old mum would say "he can cause an argument in an empty house" 🤣 🧡

He is a decent prospect, and we need him at the moment, esp as Eki is struggling.
Cannot se him breaking into the Liverpool team anytime soon so his level currently is probably championship.
Would not be the worst signing we could make

I am a bit long in the tooth to go drinking at the Armfield and most of my mates have given up going over the last few years , but anything I put on here would be totally supportive of the club and I wouldn't care what Pool fans knew me or didn't . I feel that some of Phils posts are so negative and detrimental to the club and its supporters that I would be embarrassed to be known . I think his particularly sarcastic post on Rhys is totally out of order as the kid is already getting repercussions from the Knobber game and he was put in a terrible position . Yet Phil has to have a go . Its wrong ,he is wrong , but if someone makes one of his posts look silly ,he seems to disappear and I could be wrong ,but I have never seen an apology from him for anything he has posted . I've managed it when i have been corrected.

I've seen the point made previously that the vast majority of professional players don't support a club, because every Saturday when the team is playing, they're too busy training or playing themselves.

Personally I would think that once he got on the pitch he fully concentrated on what his manager had told him before he came on.
Good lad, he stuck to his task and celebrated with hs team mates on the final whistle.
Hope he stays with Pool.
