What's your target for EEE if you don't mind me asking.

I bought a few of these ages ago and honestly had forgot about them as they went nowhere for yonks.....so consequently haven't been following them. I've read the recent RNSs and all looks OK but would be interested in your thoughts of "value in the ground" translated into a sensible share price.

Do you reckon 20p is do-able for example?

I think 20p is doable. My original target was 12p but it’s a moving feast and already gone over 13p

You are at risk of getting greedy and we know what happens then.

I promised myself to sell Rolls Royce at 200 and it’s now just over 300 - when do you let go?

….and thats the question I really struggle to always answer!!

i used 212 app very simple and easy to get your onboard credit as they will email certificate on request .Took a bit of a hit this week only at 91 pc profit at the moment but got miles to go before at previous levels .Going to hold on very long term

Can I ask what you made of cruises?

My mrs is getting keen on the idea but I’m not sure if I’d get bored and end up getting pissed everyday which there’s nowt wrong with but I can do that at home.

I guess it depends on your strategy and your confidence in RR. I'm more of a long term invester rather than a trader. What was the stock value before the pandemic and what is it now?

I’ve been investing for about eight years or so, started off quite well but got greedy on a couple and have lost out big time.

I got skunked on Sirius Minerals along with many others, I was heavily invested and believed it would have got much better, it didn’t.

My investments have generally been high risk and am currently 55% down on my SS ISA, luckily my pension has improved in the last month or so after a major downturn when the Ukraine happened.

It’s weird how I’ve never gambled in my life until I started this and decided to do it in large numbers🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️

RR dropped to 30p and now 300p - my average is about 106p for them.

Around 2013 it peaked around 425p but it’s a very different company to then.

I invest long term these days, I learnt not to sell the hard way.

Have done ok this year and made a little bit on Aviva and Avacta, and done well on RR which I`m still holding at the moment. Still holding some Avacta but will sell on the next bounce. Overall running at a profit of just over 20% (45% is very impressive), which for my first year of trading I am pleased with.

I have a pal who studies the market and we cross reference stuff (as novices) and he is rather keen on Joby Aviation as a long term bet...

went on my first last year now been on 3 and got 3 more booked absolutley hooked will never do another kind of holiday again .So much to do and going on especially the massive ships different places every other day to see and explore .Wife only went to keep me happy and is also hooked and its not that expensive when you consider akll meals free .With spending money on eating out it cost us more for a cottage in the dales overall

I’d definitely just do a week first to try it if you've not done one before.
We did a week in Dec 22 (Canaries), loved it so we did a two week Caribbean cruise Nov/Dec 23’.

There’s loads to do on board, always something going on to do.

Thanks, would value your opinion, seasideone.

They are in a race to make electrical, vertical take off planes with other big name involvement but not making money at the moment in a competitive sector. My pal is a pilot who is well versed in aviation generally and he is quite keen but I`m not sold at the moment...

Nice one, thanks for tip and I agree a shorter one for a first go sounds sensible. My brother is currently on a 34 night one to the Caribbean via Mauritius he loves em and does two or three a year, mind you he is 18 years older than me😂😂

Hmmm interesting, I’ve been worried I’m a bit young for them but I’m of the age where more people I know seem to be trying it as an alternative holiday and I’ve not heard any negatives as yet.

I'm in to Google and Oracle, also Newmont mines can't bring myself to back MSFT most unsecure cloud out there.

The bubble has popped and doing OK with my short
If anyone had taken my advise they would now be booking a World Cruise in a penthouse suite.

Thinking of buying though if drops below 150.

Just keeping an eye on it at the moment. Not really set a buying price just yet.
 
Coach are buying Versace, Michael Kors and Jimmy Choo.

The deal has been referred but there is no real reason I can see why it will not go through 👍

Should close by end of August latest as it’s a cash deal and funding is in place.

A very nice premium to be made quickly IF it closes.

Yeah. Think it's a good price at the moment. Thinking of tesla as less of a car company and more AI in the future. Also, they are miles ahead in the battery/charging space.

As always, Musk is a worry but the potential is massive. I wouldn't be surprised to see tesla trading at $500 in 5/10 years time.

Think the Cybertruck has been a damp squid. But I agree with other post they are much more than just cars. That said, the real game changer will be the much anticipated announcement of an affordable compact, circa £22k. Production anticipated 2025. Shouldn’t have the same production issues as a stainless steel bullet proof pick-up! Hovering over buy button now at $170ish. Also agree with other poster this will be $500 share but I’d say in 3-5 years. Only concern is people will get sick of production lags and buy Chinese alternatives….

I know a young lady in London who is doing quite well and she wants to help me get started, but a lot of red warning lights in my head are putting me off!

It’s a gamble and not a proper investment.

Expect and be happy to lose everything you put in - but the Casino might be nice to you.

I was an earlier investor and have done ok over the years, look at Bitcoin, Etherium, Ripple as they are established and maybe some of the fringe assets such a as Solana, Tezos The Graph but I’d also say that now not the time, currently doing well but won’t last, I’d wait for it to drop. There is a sort of four year cycle with it.

I wouldn’t describe it as a ponzi as unfortunately I’ve had experience of something similar but it’s defo extremely volatile, and I can’t profess to have my head around it.

It’s that anarchy that appeals I guess🤷‍♂️😈
 
Yeah Crypto deffo not for everyone - it's on a bit of a rampage this year though so back in the news. For me, it's probably the best investment i've ever made, 5x my investment in a couple of years, but deffo not for the faint of heart!
 
I bought positions in Pokemon TCG. In particular a set called Evolving Skies. Picked them up for 90 a box. Now selling for 500+ on evilbay. I make that a 550% gain in 2 years. Btw. I fully expect them to break 1k each in next 2 years. I’m about 8-9k in my collection valued at around 17k 2 years later.

We went on a two night Cunard from Southampton to Hamburg as an experiment. I didn't think cruising was for us but wanted to try it. We live in Hampshire so it was very convenient. The initial cost was £250 all in so it was very cheap. Once on board the drinks were a reasonable price on the menu. However they added 15%. service. If we have bought the drinks package it would have been £85 each per day. They also added £15 per day service charge for the rest of the crew. If we had wanted the internet this was £40 per day - I can't remember if that was per person or per cabin.
Once on board it became clear you were just two of 3,000 plus customers. The food was pretty good but if I tell you our table number in the restaurant was 439 and we had to queue to get in this gives you an idea of the scale of things. We were basically eating good quality ready meals. Load of entertainment which was of a high standard.
The cabin - described as a 'stateroom' was budget hotel standard and tiny. The bathroom was claustrophobic with the same type of toilet you get on trains.
However going back to the point of whether you invest the regulars clearly love the experience. There was a booking office on the ship where you could reserve future places and this always had a queue.
Not for us but if you like it fair enough. The additional, partly hidden, extras bump up the cost significantly. Too be honest it was a bit boring.
 
Bitcoin only. Stay away from everything else. Buy it, forget about it.

You'll do better than 99% of these amateur stock pickers.
