Agree and although kai kai had a poor game anything can happen with him... he will turn on the style now against the cods and score a braceI liked the trio of Kaikai, Anderson and Hamilton last night as their players seemed like rabbits in the headlights as to who to mark!
I don't think he did have a poor game. He's in the team to try stuff. That inherently carries more risk than a safe square ball.Agree and although kai kai had a poor game anything can happen with him... he will turn on the style now against the cods and score a brace
It's interesting cos he frustrates me, doesn't really assert himself. But he has moments. He had that excellent shot that the keeper did really well to push wide. I still think you need your 11 players all fully engaged, and more involved than KK tends to be.I don't think he did have a poor game. He's in the team to try stuff. He didn't let it affect him and kept on trying the tricky pass. It only has to come off once a game and we score.
I'd be letting him carry on doing what he does.
It's that whole grafter v artist debate. As we're set up, we have the capacity for a free spirit. It's interesting cos he frustrates me, doesn't really assert himself. But he has moments. Yes, if the free spirit does enough. He's a bit under the bar for me so far. But he looked delighted when the final whistle went last night, did a little leap all by himself. His commitment and self belief appear to be rising and hopefully his influence on games will as well. Clearly talented. It's that whole grafter v artist debate. I was with you until you named the passengers. Not passengers in my eyes, they were all heavily involved in games on a regular basis, not peripheral, as KK tends to be.I've always thought every team needs someone who you're not quite sure what's going to happen, keeps the opposition guessing and can be tricky to set up against especially at this level. We've always had more success with a 'passenger' such as Wes, KP, DJ etc...
Yeah, wrong choice of word really, but you know what I mean, we've all sat next to someone having a go at them in those terms.I was with you until you named the passengers. Not passengers in my eyes, they were all heavily involved in games on a regular basis, not peripheral, as KK tends to be.
Just spotted the inverteds around passenger.Yeah, wrong choice of word really, but you know what I mean, we've all sat next to someone having a go at them in those terms.
That's exactly right and it was on more than the odd occasion. That's why for me he had a poor game. There were spells in the second half too when I wondered whether he was still on the pitch. I think we all know that Kaikai is a special talent and probably the most gifted player we have. And maybe why we expect more from him. And maybe why we judge him harsher than others.I agree with this ... to a point. His touch was poor on occasion, as was his decision making.
