I went to Freeport the other day. Hadn't been for a while, and when I walked in I saw it's now called "Affinity"

Nearly as annoying as Collegiate School, which is now called "Aspire Academy"

What a load of old bollocks!

Can anybody else come up with some equally cringeworthy names?

Warbreck now called Unity Academy!
I didn’t like it when it was first renamed as Beacon Hill, but at least that was a linguistic play on Warbreck.
If you’d ever been through the days of first week first years getting launched down the slopes onto the playing fields, you’d never name it Unity!

Was Highfield High School.
Now Highfield Leadership Academy.

Might explain why we get leaders like Boris Johnson and Liz Truss running the country nowadays.

Sourcing specialist
Lateral Talent Scout
Candidate Attraction Operative

There's loads more...all the same bloody job!
 
Quality Street has always bemused me - what relevance does that have to a tin of chocolates!
 
Notice as I go up and down the country the names of shopping centres become more Americanised - Malls in particular creeping in.
