Another owner's statement.

Listening to footy commentary must be positively frightening for you?

Would you prefer Chissy saying “ball forward to Jordan, lays it off to Matthew and then to Kenny and across to Christopher. Back to Matthew and then to the other Matthew and James and finally back to Daniel. Long ball out for a throw in to Barnsley”?

Sorry Peter. The wife has just chastised me for teasing you

I see that too. Still, better putting it out there than not.
It’s a nice thought 1966, but there’s not a cat in hells chance. The MSG are very much their own men and rightly so.

In many respects it’s not a bad thing to have alternative ideas and differing approaches.

If, as you say "the MSG are very much their own men" then I can't see why they shouldn't be their own men through BST. Their influence could work for good.

Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right? 😉

BFCX3 i always think anyone who calls people by their surname is showing disrespect ,his name is Simon Sadler ,why not call him that, i worked for a guy who owned a quite big timber merchants ,his name was Roger , but some employees called him Rog, i maybe old school but think people should show respect a little more ,after all the guy has done for this club in his short time tenure, the least we all should do is call him by his full name.
I couldn’t agree more.

No no no no! Full names only, please.

Utter bollux all this chairman love in. The Asian businessman Chansiri is the owner of Sheff Weds coz its an earner for him. Hes not there for any other reason apart from the financial side and it raises his profile as a businessman. If the self righteous guff writers on here spouting their usual middle of the road, actually got over to Sheffiled, they might find a few home truths.

Absolute nonsense for this man to make that statement, it is childish at best, if you continue saying naughty things I will not put my money in, oh dear another person who is over sensitive and cannot take criticism, there will be a reason the manager left after gaining promotion,

I dont think anybody has defended Chansiri.

Just to be clear (as it seems the education system has failed you) it’s perfectly proper and polite to refer to an individual by their surname when referencing them in the context of this forum or, say, a news article etc…

However calling someone a Prick or a Stupid Bastard (without provocation at least) is generally considered impolite. 👍

I hope this helps you to navigate future interactions. At the ripe old age of 70+ ? I’m surprised that such things have escaped you.
I take it from this you never call anyone names on here ( also where do you get the drunken haze from) ,that to me is like you are saying i am a drunken old git ,when you know nothing about me, again that's disrespectful .

OK Mr Peter👍

I can spot a lush from a thousand yards my friend 😉

And children should be seen and not heard I bet too?

Thankfully we have moved on from Victorian bootlicking and unwarranted faux respect to our Lords and Masters.

"Please Sir, can I have some more?"

No Mac i have no problem with the children of today i have a grandchild ,who is a bit of a 4 year old rebel, my comment was about posters on here being respectful to the person who has put millions into our football club, and was aimed at the poster ,nothing else.

I’m not aiming it at you Mr Peter…It was just a general observation about the consequences of that philosophy.
That's ok you more than me at your age ,should know the perils of posting things like that on forums or social media.
And there is no real malice from me ,and you know my name ,i would prefer if you just called me Peter (how about we draw a line under this ) and start afresh ,are you ok with this ?.

I’m fine with that Peter.

All the best 👍

No matter how much money I had I would never buy a football club unless there was a decent chance of making some serious money like the Glazers did.

30 years ago I would have thought differently but the combination of social media and ridiculous fan expectation can make it quite unpleasant and thankless.

Thats why I admire people like SS . He stepped up to ensure BFC continued for future generations with little or no expectation of a return. He continues to pump money in amidst unwarranted and unjustified critiscm.

Its why I will always back him because without him or people like him I just don't think i'd have a club to go and watch and support.

The vast majority of clubs seem to be just money pits.

I do worry that Simon Sadler thought he was buying a long-held dream and now feels he is trapped in a nightmare.

Eh?

Have you seen the accounts? They've lost about £20m every season for the last 5 years, that's a very funny description of an earner.

Wednesday made a huge mistake sacking Darren Moore.

He seems to be doing well at 'Udders.
I don't think he was sacked. And their football was old school. The manager change in my opinion was a good one, they just didn't sign the players required for the new manager's preferred way of playing.

I do worry that Simon Sadler thought he was buying a long-held dream and now feels he is trapped in a nightmare.
Surely everyone who follows a professional football club knows hhat owning one is bloody awful?
