Whilst none of us on this board can fully imagine just what his immediate family and close friends are going through, hopefully they can get some strength from the fact that his large Seasider family are all willing him to make a speedy and full recovery.

Yep, this. I know exactly what they are going through as I’ve gone through it myself recently.
You take comfort in talking to family and friends and the added support from Blackpool fans will be a comfort. It’s not like the OP was sharing some fake news or nonsense. Just generally caring for one of our own.

Time for Reflection, at such a tragedy.
Time to reflect on how Tony’s friends and family must be feeling.
I’m feeling “shocked & stunned” and I didn’t know him, although I think I recognise his face from games.
Without judgement and without knowledge of details of what occurred, if any “minor” positive could possibly come out of such an awful situation, perhaps in future, if certain individuals who want to behave “macho” the fact that “one punch/kick can kill” will come to the forefront of their minds before they do behave in that manner
Such a sad loss of life.
