Anyone done a Saturday seat count?

Reckon it’ll hit 8k Saturday. Not even sure Burton will bring 500 though. Going to be a hit to reality when we saw that low following compared a few of last seasons!

Wonder how many are on holiday. I make sure my holidays are out of the football season in June and July, much cheaper too🤣

Would be magic to get 12,000 on Saturday but probably won’t - a shame because it’s a great day out.

That what I thought, someone on here said not hit the 8k yet, like it was a possibility, or it may have been hopeful thinking, but the ticket office never include hospitality as they don't know it, it's seperate.
I think 8,000 is a very respectable number for us in league one. If we can get a good start extra fans will come on board to watch a winning team

We will never get above 10k for the average game so the aim has to be 9k. That would be decent. For the bigger games such as Bolton, Wigan, Derby, Barnsley, Carlisle and maybe Vale, then should be able to get 10k.

You’d expect our average to be around 9k if doing well.

If we average 10k this season its impressive taking in to account the away followings will be considerably less this season, I think a Good start is important and we definitely have the personnel for this season unlike last. UTP

Except for a very limited strike force of just 2 available at the moment !

True but I'm more than happy to give Beesley a few games before getting another in, very similar situation to when lavery was out of form and nearly joined Millwall is that sometimes players go through difficult periods.

I don’t mind giving Beesley a go either … I am more concerned if either of them are injured before Saturday or during … we have no replacements at all at the moment - which is a woeful position to be in.

We probably do need another striker but it depends on how we set up , CJ and Dale can play a bit further up and rumours of Banks coming from Palace so atm I'm optimistic we have enough quality to start the season well. I'd expect a couple of outgoings

Historically our early season home attendances have been good, with away fans coming for a long weekend in Blackpool during the season and the lights. The likes of Derby and Wigan can be expected to bring a fair number whilst Orient and Stevenage fans might fancy it as newly promoted sides. I'd be looking at 4 or 5 gates of around 12k+

Yes it would be magic to get 12k but think it will be nearer 9k. 9k ain't bad when a lot of people go on holiday when the schools break up for summer.

If we get off to a flying start I think the attendances may reach over 10,000 but a bad start and 8,000 is more likely

Any rough guesses as to how many in the home stands?
First few games in august for home fans can be a bit lower due to many being away on holiday and not easy to pass on a digital ticket. The official attendance will be given for season tickets are always counted though

Unless its the prem.

This is where clubs always miss a golden opportunity (and I’m not just talking Blackpool)
First game of the season, generally filled with optimism and high hopes, so announce a reduced price for POTG.
In order to appease ST holders then offer them a free pie and a pint (or Bovril for the westies)
Happy days with a crowd of 12k showing our intentions from day 1.

I agree, football is probably the best product to market there is. We should be getting 12,000 home attendance, make it a special day.

Maybe we should all take a bit of responsibility and try and promote/sell 1 season ticket to a non regular Blackpool FC supporter, that would get us up to 12,000.

I guesstimated before that it should be around or approaching 8.7k in the home ends, excluding hospitality.

Add in 500 away and hospitality and its already up around 9.5k maybe.

There could be more from Burton, more in hospitality, plenty of time to go and many buy late.

Need someone to count to confirm though, but I can't see it being miles off.

The current situation, the north blocks beginning to sell out.

I've just looked at the plan. Sales look pretty similar to how they would look a couple of days before a game last season. Maybe down 200 or 300. I don't think support will be down anywhere near as much as people think it will be this season.

There will be a good few 12k plus crowds.

Yeah it's looking alright and given we know many buy late, it's still unknown how many are left to go. I havent really seen it pushed that hard by the club yet.

This is what should be happening - the fans are a clubs best and biggest marketing tool. But they need to firstly make it easier for fans to do, and secondly incentivise it. Persuade your mate to buy a season ticket, and you both get 10% off. Instead of getting £350, the club then gets £630. And another empty seat filled.

This is also why deals like the few we get a season are good, it'll be interesting to see what price they fall to.

It went down to 20 in the championship, so maybe it'll be cheaper now? The good thing about them is they're open to anyone. The one when SS first arrived was still good, any ST holder could buy upto 4 tickets for 15 each, but if people didn't know one then not as good.
