Anyone else rooting for Notts County?

Not really, I like Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenny (I'm a massive IASIP fan which helps), both seem like good blokes and genuinely seem to have fully bought into what supporting a football club is all about. The documentary is excellent too.

Think there's been a hell of a lot of bitterness in the last few weeks about what's happening at Wrexham from fans of other clubs. I wish they'd bought Barrow that's for sure!

Never mind Barrow Gary, I wish they'd bought BFC 🤣
Seriously, Wrexham are a decent club & it'll be good to see them back in the EFL.
Good luck to Notts County - who has nowhere near the same budget.

They're a good side with a fantastic striker in Langstaff, but I'm actually enjoying Wrexham's story. Good luck to them. I'm sure every football fan would want decent owners putting money into their club. 🍊

Hate all those marvel films bollocks but purely on Ryan Reynolds performance in deadpool 1&2 I’d say Wrexham deserve to be promoted, good fan’s as well as far as the ones I met back in the day when we were in the same league

Would like to see both go up, they deserve it.

As others have mentioned, we should definitely be taken a look at Macauley Longstaff. Strange career but he’s ripped it up the last couple of seasons.

You can't beat someone having their chips pissed on although it seems unlikely, they have all the momentum right now, but Boreham Wood are still in the play off slots so it won't be easy.

Its quite nice to see how Reynolds is taking in this romance of football, its like a newcomer to the sport living out the perfect example of how exciting it can all be and its great to watch unfold as an outsider. He has created a real buzz around them it must be good times following them this season.

Plus I watched them go out in the playoffs last season to Grimsby in one of the best games ive ever seen. We went to a friendly match there about ten years ago and drank in their pub the locals were all very welcoming and seemed good people.

I don’t live in a cave but I’d never heard of either of them til the Wrexham thing, but then again I don’t watch films. There are lots of pretty famous sports persons my wife has never heard of.
Good luck to them

Mrs Jimbo hates football and most sports in general - which is fine - but she loves Ryan Reynolds. It’s the only sport related thing we watch together, and it’s quite a story tbf. I hope they do it, they seem a decent club.

funny one this for me. Obviously, I prefer English teams over Welsh ones but there is sort of something magical about what's happening at Wrexham and it seems the two owners have really taken to it. So yep, wish them all the best and hope they make it and that Notts County get up through the play offs. Of course, then much sterner tests await them and their pockets will need to be much deeper if they want to carry on having the success they are currently having.

I'm normally wary of teams whose owners give them a huge financial advantage. In this case its different for me. Wrexham and their fans have paid their dues out of the football league for so long and are historically a league club . The owners seem to have the right intentions which includes giving the whole area a boost. There's also something nice about two famous Americans that knew nothing about the game learning and getting excited about football...the proper kind. The enthusiasm is great to see . Like 20's I wish Notts all the best. I fear whoever doesn't go up automatically will lose in the play offs though because that's normally how things like this go.

Made his name in the Deadpool series Tigger that's why you won't have realised who he is, I imagine you're more familiar with the likes of Robert Di Niro and Jack Nicholson pal.

Yep rooting for Wrexham, I also want Darlo to do Dog Food Dave a favour today and take points from Kings Lynn otherwise I can see Fylde finishing 2nd in a one horse race.

I have at least heard of them though I’ve never seen a film they’re in. Never heard of the Deadpool series either
As the user name suggests I don’t have the attention span to watch films 🐅

Ryan Reynolds seems a decent bloke and very down to earth. More importantly he and his partner and his family seem genuinely interested in the success of Wrexham.

It's great, why would anyone hate it? Good on them I say, I'd rather have them here that the dull bloke we have. who never says a word.

I hope they do really well, and I hope Notts County get promoted too.

How many glory supporters would carry on supporting Wrexham if the owners sold up?
They've always had decent gates. Don't be so bitter.

It's not that long ago they were in quarter finals of European trophies. Hardly newcomers like Sutton, Crawley etc.

They’d get more European nights if they played in the Welsh league. I don’t get why Cardiff Swansea and Newport get away with it. Yet Bangor City can’t. Genuine question…apart from Berwick does it happen anywhere else where a nation’s FA let their teams play in another country’s league structure?

AS Monaco play in France
All clubs from Liechenstein play their games in Switzerland
Certain clubs in Crimea play their games in Russia
Toronto,Vancover Whitecaps and Montreal play their games in MLS in America
Wellington Phoenix play in the Australian league

I think they all joined the English leagues before Wales had a professional football league. When it got started up they asked if they wanted to join and they said no.
