Agree with this but when both fit both our RBs are in our best XI. And we used 3 LBs yesterday. Weird squad we've got.

Lyons is going to be a great full back. Gabriel has something special and that his ability to take the ball from the back third to the front third. He takes us from defence into attack. Bit like the two Liverpool full backs. We need some break from defending although the risk is that he leaves gaps behind him. It depends on who is in front of him. Husband had a torrid time on Saturday because of the lack of cover from Rogers and he was letting him know.

Thats a good line up id pretty much have that.. but id swap connolly with dougall and thornely at the back..
Be nice for connolly to at least play a game in midfield

Thornleys got a tight hamstring problem that’s why I never included him in the 18

Out of Rogers, Poveda and Bowler he will only play 2 of them. If Fiorini is OK I'd give him another 45 as a starter but it might be a bit much to ask after being out for so long so I agree with the above and reckon he will go Dougall, Patino and Carey in midfield unless he goes back to a back 5 again like he did in the 2nd half (which I hope he doesn't)
Specifically on Gabriel though, I'd actually forgot how quick and strong and good he actually is.

On the subject of the LB position, I thought Garbs looked a lot happier further up the pitch. Able to chase and harry right up to their back line instead of confined to ours. He did a good job.

I think it was MM who said Gabutt was more suited to left midfield than left back.
