Anyone for Milan?

Love Milan and done the tour as well, the area around Gariboldi Railway Station is to be avoided though. A trip to Bergamo on the train is well worth it also and takes about 35 mins from memory.

Did milan, bergamo and como a few weeks back, beautiful places. San Siro tour was a great experience but it's a tired old stadium. Bit rough around the ground but not as rough as around Atalanta, proper dump in a stunning city.

I stayed at the top of Citta Alta in the converted barracks at the top of the second funicular
They had Monte Carlo style vintage racing on when we were there
It was ace

I never knew there was a second funicular! 😯

Spent a couple of days there on business a few years back; as TAM says, the old walled town is a gem.

We stayed in the Palace at the top of the first funicular, went for a drink at the restaurant where you stayed but didn't explore much up there.

I've been in Rome this week and was looking at going up to Milan to take the game in instead of flying back yesterday.

Thank f@ck I didn't, Southgate dire management and tactics have has now seen us relegated from the group as well as being beaten by two sides that haven't even qualified for the World Cup, not to mention gone almost 500 minutes without scoring in open play.

Absolutely clueless.

You would have lived up to your username.🤣

Very true, I'd still be in Milan now with a hangover having endured that shite last night, that bell end Southgate needs to do us all a favour and fall on his sword, I could do a better job than that negative plodder.
That’s one thing you can thank Southgate for, he drove you to drink.👍

San Siro is a very tired stadium now. Never been but read a lot of stories of it being an absolute dump.

Shame, its quite an iconic stadium. Probably be replaced by some bland new build

I doubt the new one will be bland, the one thing Milan has got is style in abundance.

Was there last night. The stadium looks great from the outside, but the amenities were very poor , we calculated 8 urinals for 4000 England fans , very small food kiosk that was chaotic and only sold hotdogs.

It's an iconic stadium, from an era when they were built for football fans, not corporates or people who treat a match like the cinema. It still holds a unique atmosphere, even though home ticket sales were poor. It was my 2nd and probably last game there, I would encourage any football fan who likes visiting stadia to get on a plane to Milan soon. Great city, lots to do, Navigli is perfect for a few drinks in the evening. Nice to meet you @Seasider53 . 🍻
