Jet2.com have cancelled all flights to spain and the Balearic islands...even turning planes back in mid air to the UK.....they said they will help people already in Spain to get home......

Would now actually be a good time to book a holiday on the cheap?
Hmm! Russian Roulette, booking any holiday at the moment. You mIght get to a destination, but then find there’s little to do when you get there - as most things possibly in shutdown. Your hotel might also end up being ‘quarantined’ if resident holidaymakers/staff are found to have the virus. You may then find out that your airline can no longer fly you back home. Obtaining holiday/medical insurance, is also becoming a problem, as insurance companies are currently quoting “computer says NO!”
If you’re happy to risk that lot, then yeah, go for it. 👍🏼

Just seen on the news that some/all Airlines have stopped flights to Spain. I think Spain is 'shut down'.
Lots of businesses, hotels, guest houses etc could go out of business

Meant to be working in Portugal Tuesday for 3 days, can't see it happening now which is a bit of pisser, was looking forward to it.

Jet2 have stopped flying there and some planes were turned back.

Supposed to be having a week in Lanzarote a week on Sunday, can’t see us being allowed to go but still hoping!! Although I think fate doesn’t want us to go, we’d originally booked a week in Morocco with Thomas Cook! Switched to Lanzarote when that went tits up

We’ve just got back from Bruges.

We weren’t due to return until Monday but were worried that the government might impose domestic travelling restrictions and frankly, with all bars, cafes and restaurants now closed to 3 April there was nothing to do. And, while the hotel was serving food, you had to eat in your room.

Luckily Eurostar allowed us to travel earlier than anticipated without any additional charge (and indeed an upgrade because of numbers and limited space), which is as well as our insurance may not have covered us. After all, we didn’t have to come home early; it was our choice.

I can’t see anyone travelling on business or going on holiday overseas for the next month at least. And all the airlines are talking in terms of redundancies.

What a total disaster for everyone's plans.
We've got Vienna, Marbella and Mallorca all booked in the next three months, looks like they'll all be cancelled as well as the Euros which I have tickets for.
I was so looking forward to 2020, great holidays, Euros, Olympics, Cricket, right now the lot is on hold.

Fo we actually think weekend beeaknin Spain will be an option for next few months?
Can't see it but as others gave said could be much worse

My mate is in lockdown at the moment in Benidorm - should have a flight on Wednesday but concerned what he might find when he gets to the airport.
