Apter League 2 Young .....

It’s not a cheap shot.
What have you been watching all season ?
Wake up and smell the coffee, Critchley is the reason why we aren’t going back up to the championship. If he was a manager of a construction company he’d have been sacked a long time ago.
Dale,Casey and Apter you used as a reference.
If you think any other coach would have got us promoted with this bang average side your totally deluded see @Phil_bfc deux thread about don't put it all on the manager.

Like he was when he was 16 you mean

He was worth about 10 million when he first broke through at Celtic, not had much football since so yeah its great that he's had a good loan, but please don't try and make out that Critchley has made him as that's clearly horse sh!te
Bullshit he went to a France on a free from Celtic who then couldn't be arsed with him(currently second in league) and loaned to a third division English football club.
Behave.

But when he first broke through he was one of the highest rated young players in the world, he was and like i say for whatever reason he lost his way

Great to see him kicking on again and fair play to Brest for seeing his potential, they will make a fortune out of him as he's class

I should’ve known better than to disagree with one of Critchley’s cult followers.
It’s the managers job to get the best out of his players, that’s what he’s paid to do ! Plenty of managers have done well with ‘bang average’ teams too, that’s how they go onto bigger and better clubs.
Just keep convincing yourself that he’s the solution to our problems every time you see him fist pumping after another drab 1-0 win against the likes of Codwood or Carlisle.

He's developed really well there, so it's good he got that game time.

It is a bit frustrating as he could jave played a part here, but probably not ideally under our style do maybe for the best he was there.

Still, looking promising for next season with a rapidly improving talent back.

I suppose the question here is did we drop a bullock!
12 Goals in League Two - transfers to maybe 7/8 in League One and, for me, we are 7/8 goals short this season.

He plays a different position. Let it lie.

Only just seen this as I haven't been on much, but:

We play 5-3-2 and they're both wide players. CJ was recently given a multiple year contract; you really don't think they'll be competing for a space on the teamsheet next year?

I can see you've said he'll 'play the Dembele role', too. Do you really think we should stick him in a new position when he has literally just won young player of the year in L2 playing out wide?

Good players can adapt and Rob looks like he could be a good player. Before all this hoo ha watching Rob through his development I always thought Rob would be a "No. 10". (That's just the perspective of someone with no coaching badges but a lot of years watching). Players are of course challenged through their development to be adaptable and are played in different positions and that's what happened with Rob. Adkins has played him as inverted winger and Rob appears to have thrived so well done to manager and player. I'm not sure where our highly qualified coach will play him or if he will play him at all. I do know that Rob will give it his best shot (literally I hope). It would be criminal though if we don't give him a chance.
