Apter

Great move. He’s done well for a relegated conference side. He’s not getting game time here, and even he got what we all think he deserves, it won’t be as much work experience as he is now going to get at Tranmere. He then does well in a L2 side and is ready for the next step up.

Good move for him, this should be the last one he makes before being fully integrated into the first team. If he’s not given a chance after that then there’s really no point to having a youth setup.

Annoying that he couldn’t get more of a look in the league, but in Critch’s eyes he needs a bit more experience. I personally don’t think so, but it is what it is.

It’s actually a great move for him. A win win. If he goes and plays regular football and performs to a high standard, we can recall him in Jan and put him straight into the side. He gets the game time& we get back a more experienced player ready to go into the team.
If we have a recall clause which I suspect we have

Apologies just seen it’s a loan til jan

Did he do that well? Seem to remember them getting hammered most weeks. I know it’s a team game but let’s have it right

Torn on this , Very disappointed, dobbie gave him a run out , critchley hasn’t , only 15 mins midweek , but I understand go get games , toughen him up , hopefully in January like someone said above , he can be a benifit pool onwards

Decent move for him. Wasn't going to get in our team and I actually think probably rightly so at the moment. He needs some time out then back and can go straight in if he' proven good enough

I’m not sure you’re grasping what I’m saying. Even if Critchley didn’t want him, why hasn’t another League One club OR a top League 2 club come in for him?

Suppose it doesn’t fit the narrative does it
I understand very clearly what you’re saying. I understood just as clearly what Sadler said about developing our own talent. He also said on the initial appointment of Critchley about his credentials on developing young players. Apparently both philosophy’s have been abandoned, just like the other commitment to reinvest profits made on players into the playing squad.

Good move for him could even lead to a permanent transfer if he does well it’s his neck of the woods

Right. But we’re talking specifically about Apter. He’s gone to League 2. So if he was ready to develop in League One, Why hasn’t another League One club taken him?

So why has he gone to Tranmere, 4th bottom, and not Wrexham/Salford/Notts/Stockport?

Oh because he’s from there. I see. Not because none of the others wanted him.
Not sure what you are trying to say to be honest. It’s a chance of some proper first team football at a good level.

I know I’m going back a long time, why did Newcastle release Shearer? Why did Scunthorpe tell Keegan he was to small? Why didn’t a league one club take Apter? Perhaps we didn’t want him to go to a rival, I really don’t know. So stop asking me the same question when you know I don’t have a definitive answer.

No. What I’m saying is. If Apter was ready for League One, he wouldn’t have gone to a mid table League 2 team. It’s quite simple.
The answer is that clubs want proof that the player can play at their level, so for L1 clubs either PL2 experience or a spell in L2, half a season in NL and some Central League games don't give him that.

Personally, I think this move should've happened in January, but we have to trust the coaching staff, in any event, hopefully this will be a good move for all parties.

Yeah I agree. I think it’s great. I’m frustrated with the implosion on here and Twitter. The Sadler out brigade because Rob Apter has gone. I’ve actually seen one fan suggesting tomorrow could ‘spill over’.

We have an absolutely insane fan base.

I know hardly anyone pays the £1.99 to access TTV but there's a good interview with Ollie Casey.
This time last year he was sent out on loan to Forest Green and they were relegated but it didn't stop him doing well. He left BFC looking a bit raw and inexperienced but has returned looking not too shabby.
Ollie talked about the patience that is required as a young footballer. I think that is probably sound advice for Rob.
I'm pretty sure I saw him make his debut for our u18s and remember talking to his Mum. He'd had offers from other Academies but his Mum advised to come to Blackpool because she felt the Club offered him a better education outside of football.

I'm actually more pissed off at letting Apter go out than I was at any point last season, even the Mick shambles.

It's a ** joke.

We're screaming out loud for a player with his attributes but we're too scared to play him ever.

I really hope I look like a knob by 11pm but this decision seems utterly ** mental to me.

Literally stayed to watch him and him alone at Wolves. He's raw, yes, he's unproven yes, but we've not scored a goal since forever and we've got fuck all invention and trickery.

Why????
