My apologies. It hasn’t been bad here on the Wirral and that’s only 30 miles away by sea.
Really congested fixtures now.

Archive photo that oneWTF? Is that from today?
Don't think that picture is from today's game too many stewards there for it to be this afternoon and too light for this evening
Find it hard to believe that photos from today. Way too many people in the ground.
Apparently old picWTF? Is that from today?
Got to be, too many stewards for no crowd.Apparently old pic
And the lack of a south east corner...TV Gantry is a clue to the age of the pic

Is 14mm really that much?14mm rain leading up to kick off. Absolutely pishing it down.
Exactly, There are too may wannabe Monty Dons on here who haven't got a clue how continuous heavy rain over months and then heavy rain before a match will cause the problems there are.
I would normally expect to be working in peoples gardens in January and February most days but this year I have hardly worked outside at all because the ground is just too wet. It must be my fault then?? It's the ** shit weather!!!!
Mac the good old days when the pitch had a beautiful camber are long gone. Lot of work needs doing and as Herts says it just sodden as hellI'll admit I had no idea whether the covers would be on thus my "?" in the OP.
Lots of bandwagoners now jumping on the fact they don't go on because they've either googled it or copied someone else who did know.
Thanks for the rude response. Whilst you wouldn't have a ** clue about my job I wouldn't deride you for making asking a question about it.
I wasn't replying to you and even acknowledged one of you posts byut you seem to have some weird complex about anything I post.I'll admit I had no idea whether the covers would be on thus my "?" in the OP.

Gary Lewis used the covers to protect the pitch from flooding on Homecoming Day
I accept we have had a wet couple of months but there is something not quite right when we are the only club in the whole of the football league to have a waterlogged postponement tonight. Either the drainage isn't up to scratch or the maintenance of the pitch by the groundstaff isn'tExactly, There are too may wannabe Monty Dons on here who haven't got a clue how continuous heavy rain over months and then heavy rain before a match will cause the problems there are.

I wasn't replying to you at all, I was making a point about the amount of rain we have had for months and how that with the high water table and the obvious problem with drainage was to blame, Your point about covers was a fair point but it could cause more problems than it solves. I really think this is don to months of rain, heavy rain on match day and the drainage which is undoubtedly a legacy of he Stains as that takes time to get that bad.Looking at a lot of comment on Twitter the consensus (from other clubs) seems to be that you can use coverings for downpours of rain and groundsman do.
Good enough all major cricket grounds too for a downpour.

I'm not sure, Like I said I will ask someone who does know tomorrow and report back. Apology accepted, thank youFair dos. I apologise as I read it that way.
However for a 3 hour period surely, and had the staff been in place to do so, the critical areas of the pitch (Northwest corner to start with) could have had some form of covering.
Its not rocket science oh its raining lets cover the playing surface till one hour before kickoff , well done lads game on , only game OFF in the football league ,I'm not sure, Like I said I will ask someone who does know tomorrow and report back. Apology accepted, thank you
I think there'll be a few questions over this one. Not as extreme as 'sack him' but the last two postponements in my eyes have been a shambles.Mac it’s a fair point
