Arsenal to hold Ballard exit talks this week

We will not see Ballard (and/or Simms again in tangerine) .Job done ! I think Fulham or QPR. He’s done his time well away from home, and gave us what we were craving a few weeks ago, but it’s over.
Ballard seems unlikely partly due to geography but then the reverse applies to Simms.

Don't forget we are looking at plus 9k season ticket sales and attendances around 14k so money is there plus the extra millions for being in the Championship.

Also, think of the message of intent if SS were to sign the lad. He is a quality quality player, he will get loads of caps for Northern Ireland and is going to get better and better. If he wants to come here I can actually see it happening. We have to forget our past, we are going forward now.

If we could get Simms in too that would be incredible.

Transfer update emerges involving Blackpool and Arsenal

Arsenal are set to hold talks with defender Daniel Ballard this week amidst interest from Blackpool.

His relationship with Critchley is bound to be strong after last season and it wouldn’t surprise me if we see him lining up at Bloomfield Road again next season.

It's just some blogger's opinion that, obviously.

Ballard at the right price would be massive for the club with future profits highly likely!

I hope of there’s a slight chance we do all we can to sign him, permently or loan.

If a club offered 4/5m for Ballard I reckon he'd be off, and it could well happen - a Fulham or a West Brom or a Bournemouth. Parachute money talks, we can't compete with those teams for players. Our best hops is that Ballard is really determined to return to us because he believes that in the long run he will benefit a lot from a a longer spell playing in our side for Critch. But money talks. Maybe a sell on clause deal could provide a solution that suits all parties.
Definitely a Fulham or Qpr , however, with most teams, they already have their own CBs and possibly other future stars coming through. Ballard definitely a good investment but I believe we have cover already if not. Many more where he came from in Academy u23 footy

I'm not that bothered to be honest, He's ok nothing more

Well over hyped whilst with us
agree with you on many things but not on this. Ballard was outstanding for us and I'd love him to be back here with us either on loan or permanently. Don't think it will happen though.

There are plenty of promising young players knocking about I'm sure. But Ballard has something about him, I feel. Character, and commitment. He seems like a winner and a leader, as well as a good defender. We have cover, but we'd be better with him than without him.

Definitely, but we can only hope, however there are plenty out there, Casey could also turn out to be a steal fingers crossed, players need games, players need to make mistakes and learn from them, the most experienced players make mistakes. I still would go with Thornily and Ekpiteta but we have a good mix, ballard would just be fabulous darlings

I'd be more confident at the higher level with Ballard and Gretarsson or Hubby. But when Marv is back in the swing he will be fine I reckon, and Thorniley too. Thorniley has never let us down, has he?
