Attendance last night

Fotmob and BBC sport have it as 4395 ???? Anyone know what it was. It looked quiet on TV ( I have Covid, so have been staring at the TV for 9 days now šŸ¤¦).

Near bottom of the league, straight after Christmas, game on Sky, didnā€™t think it was bad considering, probably about right with us having 8-9k. Blades brought 4k.

The West looked especially sparce...

Fickle fans.
Why fickle, you pays your money, you takes your choice, as they say. The majority in the west are of the older variety. On a very cold night, late kick off, very little chance of anything out of the game, who can blame them? We went as usual, but I wouldnā€™t take issue with anyone who didnā€™t.

You know that for a fact?
None of the realistic candidates to replace him would inspire me.
Itā€™s absolutely a fact. Supporters will give whoever comes in next, be it Dobbie as caretaker or a new man in a permanent role, their full support. The doom and gloom is washed away and for even just 1 game thereā€™s optimism. Unlike Thursday the ST holders who stayed away would be almost all be back.

I'm not saying you should appoint a manager just to appeal to supporters but if you appoint one that clearly the fan base didn't want then it was always going to come to this . You reap what you sow and the crowds and atmosphere will suffer. It's the most important role at the club that everyone gets behind and Appletons got zero charisma. Did I mention he's already cheated on us once ? I guarantee whenever he does leave he'll slag this place to high heaven. It was never a relationship to be rekindled and a massive mistake .

And the one that most of the fans wanted was Rosenior....lol

Yeah, the fans know bestšŸ¤£

Well I'm 68 and still giving it large in the north, where I've always been. No excuse unless you are ill or infirm.

Iā€™m 80 and in the west and attend every home game, barring illness, and occasional aways. But if I didnā€™t want to go I wouldnā€™t, and I donā€™t need an excuse apart from I donā€™t want to go. Nobodyā€™s business only mine.

Sadler wont be happy, not much revenue generated there. He's finding it tougher than he thought. Crowds wont be any better any time soon.

As I wrote on another thread, a 2015 kickoff with , on a good run, a 90 minute return journey home and a nice warm pub with SKY down the road, made my mind up for me and I'm sure for many other travelling fans.

Appleton has totally sucked the life out of the crowd. Whatever the bad luck with injuries etc, he is just so dour, negative and grumpy. The place is a shadow of what it was earlier in the season. He's just not the right fit for Blackpool, never was.
The fans themselves have not helped ,turning on the manager rather then supporting the team. You can go to watch Blackpool and not like the manager . The fans that have chanted against him , abused him on line and just made life awkward for other fans to get on and support then shame on them. They are the ones that make me ashamed .

Maybe Iā€™m used to even sparser crowds, but I though you guys gave the team decent backing. We thought it was all over at 2-0, but you showed the team havenā€™t given up, fighting back well. Just like us you need to find a bit of creativity and class somehow in the window. Itā€™ll be a struggle to stay up, but I wouldnā€™t give up yet. We have just signed Kyle Vassell, formally of this parish. UTMP!

Well we now know what type of fan you are then. I imagine you would be one of those Uber fans with a gammon face shouting ā€œsupport the teamā€ and ā€œget behind the managerā€ into other fans faces when we are losing and then when those same fans cheer when a goal goes in youā€™ll be there moaning about ā€œfickle fans that donā€™t deserve to have team to supportā€ and how weā€™ve got the worst ā€œwanker fansā€ in football etc etc.

Your types always want to have a go at the fans in some sort of ā€œsuperiorā€ Uberfans way. The ones who hated anti Oyston stuff at matches and started telling other fans that it was harmful for the team. Weā€™ve seen it all before.

Yes, they were called mushrooms. šŸ˜Ž

Although I will agree, as much as I want Appleton to fcuk off, itā€™s very poor form to chant against any current Pool manager or player during a match.
