I haven't been on it for ages Voy, I was always pretty non committal so I guess it was aimed at Raggy's comments, but jeez, it wasn't much and to criticise that is pretty pathetic, as I said it's pretty vanilla anyway. I have to say I'm not really impressed with the meeting but at the moment I'm just glad it's the summer coming and I can look forward to being outdoors, walking the dogs, sitting in a pub garden and having a holiday by the seaside in Norfolk. I've had enough of this place for a while. The Ashes soon too, Glastonbury and Wimbledon, thank god.
 
Me me me I only do this for the likes and don't care what the award is as long as it goes to me me me.

I reckon all the anti Mansford contributed to Mansford leaving and SS is wazzed off, cos apparently he wanted him to stay, and he's now a bit exposed and over stretched having to run two businesses. But he probably needs to look at himself too, given Gerrity's departure. Maybe he and Mansford both moved on partly to escape Sadlers increasing fractiousness, no smoke without fire, perhaps.

There’s probably some truth in that. I don’t think Sadler was very happy that Gerrity and Mansford had arranged the meeting with the players.
 
I think Mansford likes the adulation at Maccabi and on his salary from the last few years he’s got the freedom to go back there on a pay cut

If I was the owner I would have been equally unhappy how that episode panned out. Raggy is not the voice of the supporters, and it was almost as, embarrassing as having a letter read to the players.
Disrupting training sessions does nothing to improve the team

I agree. Once the threat had been made to march on the training ground the club had two options - both of them crap.

1. Cancel training, blame the Muckers and crank up the tension.
2. Try to defuse the situation with the meeting.

I think it was Gerrity who chose option 2 (and I can understand why) but then it somehow hit the national press and made us look amateurish. Fans of other clubs couldn’t believe it tbh and other Blackpool fans I’ve spoken to since think it was a huge mistake, although there’s obviously hindsight at play there.

Absolutely but losing your two key board members as a result is an even bigger shitshow. Pretty catastrophic even. Nobody comes out of the whole thing smelling good. Where are the adults? I can't see any to be brutally honest.

3. What the fuck is Sadler doing if he did in fact go so ballistic that these two decided to move on? You have to be aware of consequences in his position, and be able to deal with the situation in a corrective rather than destructive manner. If they need to go, be the one who decides.

Well as I said I imagine they agreed to the meeting because they thought the alternative (cancellation of training and a confrontation with a section of the fans) was worse.

Otherwise I agree with all that you say.

It is well reported that Raggy threatened to go to the training ground to confront the players, it's reported that Mansford caved in and granted him access to the players, it's reported that Saddler was very unhappy with this outcome.

Which of the above are you disputing?

Let's just hope that all this unpleasantness leads to something better in the future, a manager the supporters can get behind, a good Director of Football and CEO and keep the players that will do well in league 1 and get some exciting new players in both young and more experienced and start to play some of our really promising youngsters. At the end of the day we all want us to do well and it would be better if it can be done under Sadler's ownership. I am forever hopeful for pre season.
