Nigel Adkins
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink
Paul Tisdale

Plenty of managers out there!

We are the only people left still mentioning Nigel Adkins when it comes to managerial appointments

The thing is, would any of them be willing to come as a head coach ?
Mansford and Johnson are clearly the ones identifying these shit players we’ve signed.

You can pick any manager in the world available, but If he’s shite after 7 games his head will be on the chopping block on here.
Untrue. It has nothing to do with 7 games. It's to do with the fact there is zero spark that makes you think this will improve. And the fact that despite spending a fortune on young players, they look ineffective in each third of the pitch along with the lack of leadership and the managers unwillingness to change anything.

Most have us have watched some very poor teams over the decades, but there was always something you could cling to or a player or 3 you could hope would try something. Don't see any of that. Our only outlet is CJ. And L1 managers have already figured out what to do with him.

Yep, agree. Oxford made a poor start to last season, but their fans said, and you could see it from their performance down here how good a side they were, They, you and everyone else knew their results would turn around, it couldn't not do. And that's the worry, there's really no evidence to show that we can do.
I can remember loads on hear purring over our performance at Plymouth first game of the season. Sure, we looked pretty on the ball but we created very little in terms of chances compared to the amount of possession we had. I thought Plymouth looked more threatening on the counter attack than we did with our possession football. And to some extent every game has gone the same way.

Agree totally. People seem transfixed on this notion that tippy tappy football = good and everything else is bad. Football can be effective in hundreds of different ways. Even now with the players we have I believe we could sit deep, let the opposition have the ball, and then smash and grab using CJ, Yates and even a Lubala. But no. Same old pass, pass, pass. Last night there was a couple of occasions where we had the ball near Charlton's box and we managed to work the ball (very stylishly) all the way back to Maxwell. Totally ineffective.

Seems to be the best thing to have on your CV as a manager is a complete failure at your previous club..

Holloway win rate in his career and with us - is actually very low!!!
Holloway's win rate at Blackpool was 38.73% over 3 and a bit seasons with us,. 2 play off finals and a season in the toughest league in the world. I'd hardly call that "very low".
Sorry Stan, I see you were referring to his entire career.

You say that but he was considered a success at Bristol Rovers , QPR and Plymouth añd won more games than he lost at those clubs. Obviously things didn't go well at Leicester but you can't say he was anything other than a success here. Stats don't always tell the full story.

I think if we don't see any major improvements in the next 4 matches sacking Critchley is going to be a realistic scenario.

I'd go with Paul Cook or Danny Cowley, because if Critchley doesn't pan out then you certainly need someone who has experience at this level to come in and not need to completely replace the current squad to produce better results and performances.

Cowley is a long ball merchant

Paul Cook would be ace

Could've sworn I remember Scrafton saying something about the beautiful football Cowley had Lincoln playing? Could be wrong though.

Paul Cook might be perfect though I agree. Experience at this level and beyond, still relatively young, out of contract with Wigan not paying him because he left due to mutual consent. What style of play do his teams play?

Wouldn’t want any of the above. All the old types on the merry go round. I remember being at Walsall away a few seasons ago when Dean Smith was the manager ,he wasn’t overrated then but his team played good football.mnow look at him. Give NC this season and if we go down a rethink will naturally take place

Agree Critchley should still be given time, but surely the club can't afford relegation this season? If we're 10 points adrift at Christmas with the squad we have Sadler will have no choice but to sack him.
