AVFTT Sponsor a player fund

So we need £1680 to sponsor 4 players. With sponsoring 4 players you get 4 x signed shirts, meet and greet, end of season bash etc. To try and give something to charity and the Armfield club, why dont we donate these to them? They can auction it raffle them off etc, and make done cash that way. So far Trinity, Parky fund and the Armfield club have been mentioned. If we choose one more worthy cause we could divide them equally and help that way? Just a thought guys and we havent raised the money yet!

What about a match ball sponsorship if don’t go the charity route? Then if you still get a signed ball (long time since I have sponsored one) then could donate to The Armfield for display or raffle.

We are nearly st 4 players pal. Not sure we will raise much more to cover a match ball sponsorship. We can still donate a signed, framed shirt to the Armfield mind. Cheers

That sounds like a really good idea to me.

Perhaps speak to Scrafton and the club to get a photo opp with the players involved to generate a bit of publicity.

With the publicity around it maybe the club could throw a few more things on top of the signed shirts for our chosen charities to auction off?
 
For what it's worth (and I only chipped in £10). Assuming it's 4 players

IF we are going to try and raise money for charity, I would like it to be split between The Parky Fund and Trinity. The way we can do that is to work with them to auction/raffle the meet and greet and potentially they could separately raffle/auction off the 2 shirts, working in conjunction with each charity will generate more money than just on here. I'm sure it's a welcome bonus for both of them.

We keep two meet and greets for on here (I suggest one for GJJW and one to be drawn out of the hat for another contributor). GJJW can do what he wants with his shirt. If he doesn't want it to be seen as the 'special one', then draw two randomly, one to include the shirt, the other not.

If we are going to support The Armfield club, then I'd be happy to see the final shirt donated to them to display with a note saying it was contributors from this forum who raised the funding.

I think for me, it balances the aspirations of everything I've read on here.
 
This is weird, I've been trying to pay for a few days. When I press on PayPal all the details come up with my email add. & passwoed. Then It tells me that my email add is wrong. It isn't it's the only one I've ever used with PayPal.
I'll just have to register again. 🙄
Not just now though, football is on.😄

GJJW Will there be a badge for contributors? People might want to swan around with this and their 'I was at Barnet' and I was in Court' ones...
Could be buy a T shirt emblaoned with Grice-face handing over the badge to each of us.
