AVFTT Sponsor a player fund

Great news and hopefully the players are honoured by it.
 
I've just e mailed Martin at the club. Told him which players we want. Also asked if we could sponsor on behalf of a charity as this is a little different to a business I guess. Just waiting to hear back. I'll keep you updated.
 
The club will let us sponsor under the name "AVFTT supporting Trinity" for example. Is this ok with everyone? The signed shirts are given at the end of the season. The club are looking at how we can do the meet and greet due to covid. I'll keep you all updated. Cheers.
 
Quick update. I've contacted the Parky Fund and Trinity to see if they would have any objections to us sponsoring a player in their name. I cannot find any contact details for Get Vocal. Anyone any ideas? I notice that the BFC community Trust are doing a lot of work with mental health so perhaps this is an alternative?

Have you tried contacting the SLO?? He might be able to help. I don’t know what he actually does but it’s worth a punt.

Had a response from Trinity. They are very grateful.
The names in the programme and shirts will state:
Gretarsson - Members of AVFTT
Lubala - AVFTT supporting Trinity Hospice
Gabriel - AVFTT supporting Gary Parkinson fund
Sarkic - AVFTT supporting Get Vocal
As an aside, paypal took £20 off our total. Didnt realise they would do that. That's on me so I'll round it back up.
 
A lot to be said for being ancient and not tech savvy. This board is the nearest I get to any kind of social media, one fingered typing a short post like this takes me 6-7 minutes.😳
 
Bit late on this - crap start to the working week. All sounds great GJJW, well done sorting all that out and I'm very happy with the charities, players and all else.
 
I'm not on twitter either, Facebook winds me up and I'm starting to reduce my contacts on that as from today.
 
Hi Guys. Quick update. Get Vocal have declined our offer to sponsor a player on their behalf. Something to do with how they are funded. Any thoughts on which charity we should approach next? How about Brian House?
