Martha was played by Blackpool resident Lynne Carol who lived near Marton Library on Waterloo Rd. She was only 46 when she started playing the part of the much older character Martha. Her husband was the actor Bert Palmer . Lynne died in Blackpool Vic in 1990.

It used to be entertaining back in the day. Now it’s just the government’s propaganda soap. I forced myself to watch a couple of episodes. It was pure cringe.
