What happened with Barnsley points deduction

I couldn't remember if I was dreaming this but mid-July last year this story was everywhere .. Barnsley FC could face a fine and points deduction after being charged with multiple regulation breaches by the English Football League. The EFL's charges relate to ownership of the South Yorkshire...

So does this infer that any points deduction will be given at the end of this season to start next season on a minus?
