Barrow available on TV ?

Good how it should be if you want to watch a game turn up and pay and before I get an avalanche of abuse I live a million miles away etc four of my mates all ST holders have no intention of going tonight and where all looking forward to watch for free on their IPTV until I told them it wasn't on.

That's the problem with streaming the majority don't pay and until they find a better way of doing things and that the only benefactor is the club 100%.

I refer to "poolseasider".

This guy to me seems to be one of the classic dim football fans thats happy to get ripped off cause it makes him a better fan. You are gonna find alot of people cannot afford to make long trips just for football...i dont know if youre aware, but petrol and energy prices are going through the roof....think about the real world.

Be interesting to know how much the club makes from selling streams. I just paid for my season-long video access. It's not cheap but I'm happy to pay it; if they had a one-off video pass for the League Cup I'd buy it. Easy for me to say though; I live in a different country.

Accepting as true the argument that streaming EFL matches would result in fewer people attending, the question is how many fewer. It's not like early round matches are bringing in boatloads of people as it is. It seems strange to take the "streams aren't worth it on account of lost ticket sales" argument for the League Cup, but then run a service on Tangerine TV that lets people stream every league game. It's worth it to allow paid league streams but not paid steams for a competition that hardly anyone pays attention to at this stage? I don't understand that. (Not that this is the club's decision, of course)

The real world is the club making money so they can run themselves properly as they make sod all if everyone is watching for free on a Kodi stick.

As to ripped off it's a tenner to get in tonight your one of those who wants everything for free and constantly moan about it.👍

Its more than a tennner if you dont live on bloomfield road.

Football has been ripping of the working class fan for years. The club making money dont make me laugh, football clubs with the exception of united and a couple of others, dont make money and never have done. They rip off the supporter, overspend, plead poverty, somebody else comes in, then they repeat the whole thing.

What a miserable get do you ever go to games or do you lock yourself away watching the panic BBC news everyday.

They should have made it 5/6 quid for season ticket holders/members but you get a pie and a pint/soft drink, the first cup game used to be free with a season ticket so that would effectively make it free entry but they would make the money on 'sales in the concourse'. I'm sure by doing that they would have got a much bigger attendance than they will tonight and would no doubt have made similar money in the process, plus, getting something for 'free' would have made people happy.

I presume all the staff extra security and policing will be free and don't forget Barrows cut of the gate money also not a chance the concessions would have paid for that we'd have basically lost money!

That's the point, it wouldn't be free, but people would feel like they would be getting something for nothing, i'd hazard a guess that the home crowd would be 50% higher and potentially give the players more motivation to get through to the next round.
It's Barrow on a Tuesday night, a couple of coppers maximum, a few extra stewards, a few more staff in the concourse, any financial difference either way would be minimal.

Why would Barrow agree to that they wouldn't as they get a share of the gate in cup games.
As to a few extra security nonsense how many you need is based on the attendance.

See what i mean, its no wonder football supporters have been ripped off year after year with guys lile "poolseasider" around. He wants to pay more. Football one day will disappear up its own backside....it almost did with that superleague

They'd still get a share of the gate, in the grand scheme of things probably very similar to what they will at a tenner a ticket.

How did it work when the first cup game was free for season ticket holders? Surely the away club would never agree to that?

Well I'm not going, mainly because can't be bothered. The cup lost its magic years ago, it's just a reserves match.

Bit rich from someone who puts fuck all into our club.

And just for reference my ST is near enough the same price as over 12/13 years ago and last time in the Championship it was £25 to get in £24 most games last season.👍

The first cup match was never free with your ST. It was added onto the price of the ST at a discounted rate . Very surprised most don't realise this . Sometimes you were lucky with the fixture , Sometimes not . One year we got knocked out of every single competition at an away fixture , and Owen had to give everyone a free pie or pint or something to compensate.

Thick as pig 💩 take. Would happily pay £10, same price as a ticket. Attending the game would involve a 13-hour flight so not really practical. The fact some people use hookie methods ain’t my problem. Perhaps find some friends who aren’t criminals?

Why should people get something for nothing? It's a football club and generally loses money.

If there is one industry that deserves people trying to watch it for free, its football.
Huge ticket prices, crap kick off times that dont consider away travel, releasing new kits every year....3 kits, why?.

The loyalty of the football supporter is used against him, as they try to milk more and more money out of him. Then the bloody clubs dont even make money.....thats modern football

The 'first cup game free' was in the day when we had the honest football fan focused-family holding the coinage. I suspect they had a clause in all staff contracts akin to, "your wage for the game will be paid out of the turnstile cash taken."
I still have an unhealthy hatred for those bastards

I love the Holier Than Thou contingent who call people who use IPTV criminals 😂

I'm sure they've never broken the speed limit, drank alcohol under age, taken drugs, parked on double yellows whilst they nipped into a shop......
Or watched a film for free recorded a music album paid cash in hand the list is endless.
Why should I suffer and the club loose money because of your criminal pals? Come on, explain?
Fuck all to do with me I don't make the rules,I'm actually in favour of streaming EVERY game of football but not until there is a better way of doing things you only have to look at the pathetic monetary figures brought in by I-Follow during Lockdowns it averaged out a few thousand per game watching which is utter bobbins some of the Championship clubs get over 20k just inside the grounds.

Carabou cup games have until now been included, in the TTV / EFL streaming packages as far as i remember. Odd that this season they arent, because these games are not on anywhere else, as far as i can see.

No, Carabao never has been. Understand this is because the greed league teams are involved, but surely you should be able to stream the games between two EFL teams?
