It's funny that you say that, I had a post deleted by the moderator on this or another SPOTY thread because I was replying to a post that the moderator had deleted because "we found the post grossly offensive".

I think it's safe to say that if you posted about the chances of a women/disabled person/POC winning SPOTY your post would have been deleted by the moderator because "we found the post grossly offensive".

This board is moderated by the opinion and agenda of one man.

The womens game will never be sold to me so I'll carry on being a grumpy stuck in the middle male.

Winner was predictable. Wanted and should have been Stokes IMO but there you go.

No doubt comments will be all about the woke BBC, whatever that means, but remember, it's a public vote, so you, the Great British public voted for her.

Jessica Gadirova? Didn't she ride a horse to Banbury Cross a little while back. Got to count for something right.
 
Should have been Eve Muirhead if we're viewing all sports equally. Been pushing for a gold medal for well over a decade and captained her side from being a teenager leading the veterans, to being a veteran leading the teenagers, and she's now retired young after pushing her sport forward a good chunk and winning several titles.
 
Really pleased for Beth Mead and all the Lionesses. Women's and girls football is on the up and up. As for cricket, you don't want to peak too soon. A clean sweep is predicted after we spank the Aussies next summer 👍
 
Irrespective of the shortlist the show itself is just a bloated overblown “right on” bore fest these days. Why we had to endure yet more of the BBC obsession with Usain Bolt is a mystery to me.

I’m starting to question the ability of GB public when given a free vote Wizz 😉

To win the Euros though was worthy of recognition.
