Maybe you're the same miserable git you were when you were called scratchingshed or whatever.

Maybe appointing Appleton was a group decision. Or maybe Sadler chose him. Sadler got angry with the fan reaction and said he was by far the best candidate. Do you know for sure how and why MA was appointed? Or are you just choosing a narrative that suits you?

So you saying he got us promoted? Likewise he’s just got us relegated so what’s your point?

I can be critical of who I like you don’t have to agree with me but it’s my opinion keeping hold of him all season got us relegated.

Appleton/McCarthy I mean come on.
 
Yes good luck. There was a raft of reasons why we couldn’t compete this year. Too much social media vitriol from some, aimed at others isn't helpful.
We’ll be a club no one wants to come and work for or be part of if we can’t stop all the blaming and learn to be a bit more constructive with our critique of the club and it’s servants.

Miserable git?
My apologies but I thought we’ve just been relegated as we’re the worst team in this division by some distance if your happy with life in league one then good for you.
Appleton and McCarthy shouldn’t have been appointed and being CEO he rubber stamped it so word it how you want.

We also had the lowest budget in the League, way lower than most of the other clubs. So it was far from a level playing field. And you don't know what he rubber stamped. We have an owner who takes part in the interviewing and selection of key posts.

Plus we had 3 very good years before this one. And the guy has recently received threats. And all you can do is come out with that shit. Which is completely in character with your AVFTT posting history.

I think he's been an important part of what's gone on and although this season has been disappointing the club has improved a lot during the time he was there.

So tell us about your achievements.
 
Good riddance.

It's a bit dodgy out there. He needs to look out for IEDs planted by disgruntled fans.

Reminds me of the joke about the Israeli kamikaze pilot who crashed his plane on his brothers scrap metal yard!
 
In the light of all the positive posts about Mansford (completely out of kilter with previous sentiments), I wonder whether the Mossad dirty tricks section has been hacking into a few accounts on here.

What do you want his CV?
If everybody had to justify their own achievements on here in order to have an opinion there'd be tumbleweed blowing through.

I suspect that people who have done something with their lives would not spend so much time on here criticising others who are at least having a go.
 
Good luck to him. He had a great first three years, and a poor last one if we're judging on team performance. If we're judging on where the club is as a whole, I have trust and faith in Simon and believe him when he says we're in a better position now than when he joined. I think he was talking about the general state of the club when he said that, and BM has had a lot to deal with while he's been here.
Agree with many that he's endured a lot of online vitriol that he doesn't deserve. That said, I am kind of glad he's moved on, and we can move on and have a complete reset from what's been a pretty disastrous season by most measures.
 
My assessment of Ben will always be that he brought us on leaps and bounds but if he was in Lord Sugar’s boardroom it was unforgivable to take his eye off the ball and not have a structure in place if Critchley were to go. A promotion season and a good mid table Championship season meant he was always going to be sought after and for not planning for that made Mansford negligible for the disastrous last 12 months.
 
I think what many are trying to say is that Mansford actually did a fairly good job in the last few years.
But....the s#it that happened with Appleton & Dino Mick has been laid squarely at his feet.....but nobody is ITK and the idiots on Twitter and here just jumped on the Bullshit Ben name, even if they knew fuck all that was really happening....

I have no idea if Ben was good or bad...
I do have an idea that those slagging him off....don't have any idea if he was good or bad either

Were not dealing with some mid management department head, who spends their days in Teams meetings discussing forecasts and how many days they can work from home.
If you're going to be paid the big bucks like Ben.......you have to take the s#it and if it's not going well.....Then you're going to get the boot.
 
Good luck to him. This is a crazy, unpredictable industry and very easy to criticise people as incompetent etc when anything can happen and nothing is guaranteed. I have no doubt he worked exceptionally hard and wanted the best for us whilst he was here.

It's the right thing for both parties, especially after the idiots made threats etc he just doesn't need that crap and doesn't deserve it.
