We follow Blackpool FC, we come from the seaside
The only team in football in tangerine and white
The boycott years were hard, we carried heavy loads !
But now you'll hear us singing from the stand of Bloomfield Road
Allez Allez Allez Allez Allez Allez!!!

Walking into the City ground and being in the midst of this was epic ! How do people feel about this one ?
I feel like its pure Blackpool FC soul ! I hope the whole north is booming with it against the nobbers, its fairly new !

I've said this before on a few threads but it never has elicited a response...perhaps you had to be there. In the couple of games leading up to our win at Deepdale in April 1970, and at that match as well, Blackpool fans got caught up with so much belief that they just chanted Black-Pool - Black - Pool, over and over. It created a huge noise. It really was a hair on back of necks moment.

Many of our chants have given me goosebumps in the moment, This one is something very special though, (I think) - We all have our favourites, When we first started singing come on down to the sea, it had a similar effect on me.

My favourite for pure goosebump moments are
Tangerine, Tangerine, TAN-GER-INE

and

GOING DOWN TO BLOOMFIELD ROAD

Both are chants that someone will start and it will gather momentum, by the second time around it will be spine tingling. Gives me goosebumps just thinking about it.

Anything that makes noise is good (apart from a clapstick...), but I prefer chants to happy-clappy, long-winded songs. You can't beat a good "Tangerine, tangerine, tangerine..." or a "Sea-sea Seasiders!" imo.

EDIT: and while we're at it, the "Jump around if you hate Preston" is proper cringe. I prefer the "Stand up if you hate Preston" as it sounds and looks more intimidating. I think I might just be turning into a miserable old bastard though 🤣

Oooooooooohhhhh Andy Garner, from the very first game he made his debut for us away at Chester City in 88/89,I thought that was simple yet so catchy.

One fat Bianca! To a plump southern ginger lady who was giving us plenty in the east paddock, twas perfect timing she went as red as her hair and didn’t even glance our way for the rest of the game.

1. Take my hand.. ( Get goosebumps now, humming it )
2. The Pool are going up X 2. And now you're gonna believe us. etc. etc

Dunno why. Probably because they date back to a period ( Sam Ellis, Billy Ayres ) when I went away a lot.

I had a little cry during this at the time.

Just at work, put the headphones in and watched that.

One of the most cathartic and uplifting moments of my life; I'm so glad I got to spend it with my boys. Wonderful.

And, whilst I like the fact we retired 'Woke up one morning" I honestly think it deserves an outing before kick off on Saturday; remind the Nobbers what we did.

Yes going down to Bloomfield road is ace, but it seems to have changed in recent times ! We are saying 'all the lads and lasses with smiles upon their faces' at 8903835754 MPH and its messing the whole song up LOL.... I like the way we sang it years ago - At the same speed throughout HAHA, All of our chants are ace, Just really like this new Allez chant, maybe because it is new and its having that fresh effect :)

That day will live forever in the memory. To be part of that crowd, singing our hearts out, so flipping happy to be back, probably the best day at Bloomfield Road for me, so the O out chant has to be it. Still gets me watching it now.

Used to be many funny ones which were short lived back in the 70"s

Yes that above song was great when entering the forest ground..made me very proud to be a pool fan.

in the past, liked

number one is dave bamber
number two is dave bamber
number three is dave....
we all live in a dave bamber world..

( yellow submarine song..also sung for Alan Wright ).
