Alan Suddick in the Anglo/ Italian Cup - don’t know if it was televised?
Must have been in an earlier round where he chipped the ball over a couple of defenders, playing keepy uppy then put it in the net.
I must be in a bit of a minority on this one. Whilst it was a lovely curled finish the keepers effort at a save was absolutely shocking. He could have virtually stood and caught it if he hadn’t dived so early. The importance of the goal though still makes it a classic but I think there’s been better.I'll go for this one
The good thing about this goal was it ended 29 years of hurtI'll go for this one
I liked Parker. I wish his career could have reached the levels of his undoubted skill.I'll go for this one
I was there, best goal ever!!Alan Suddick in the Anglo/ Italian Cup - don’t know if it was televised?
Such a waste of talent in so many ways. On his day he could get the crowd out of their seatsWe were right behind Parker as he hit it. You knew it was in.
Yep he became Jade(d) very fastSuch a waste of talent in so many ways. On his day he could get the crowd out of their seats
On a similar note, Simmo's first game for us against Hull at home, the keeper hoofs it downfield, as it drops over his shoulder, Simmo volleys it into the net without the ball ever touching the ground. Fantastic technique.Andy Morrell volley at Swansea was an astonishing piece of skill.
I remember that one.On a similar note, Simmo's first game for us against Hull at home, the keeper hoofs it downfield, as it drops over his shoulder, Simmo volleys it into the net without the ball ever touching the ground. Fantastic technique.
Reminds me of an uncharacteristic Ben Burgess goal at Charlton when he crashed one in at the other end from 25 yards out.
Lua Lua vs Reading, definitely the best I've seen live. Not as important as others mentioned but a ridiculous goal nonetheless.
He scored another against Oxford (I think) that Gerald Sinstadt called before he hit it. Keeper clattered into the post to great hilarity on the Kop.Suddick’s banana free kick in front of The Kop against Rovers on ITV was magic…
Keep up WizAnyway, here is the correct answer.
Sky Sports Soccer AM goal of the century
Love GTF’s bit of shit houseryThis one
Agree, it has to be Suddick v Verona. People don't believe me when I try to describe it, but your description is spot on.Must have been in an earlier round where he chipped the ball over a couple of defenders, playing keepy uppy then put it in the net.
Not just the best Blackpool goal I've seen, but in 60 years of watching games all over the place, live and on TV, it remains the best goal that I have ever seen anywhere.Alan Suddick's goal against Verona is by far the best goal I've ever seen Blackpool score, by a country mile. It was astonishing.
Yeah, you're right. I totally agree with you!Not just the best Blackpool goal I've seen, but in 60 years of watching games all over the place, live and on TV, it remains the best goal that I have ever seen anywhere.
No question, that’s it, I was there, absolutely magical.Suddick wonder goal v Verona at Bloomfield Rd- my favourite and no film footage exists. Only about 5-6 thousand there to see it and a lot have passed away since including sadly the scorer. Second favourite is Hockaday at home to Swindon, dribbling from his own half then crashing the ball high into the net from outside the box. Better than Walsh's goal of the season.
