BFC to host celeb match.

I remember Russ Abbott playing in nets at Bloomfield Road wearing a giant pair of oversize gloves. Red Rose Showbiz X1? with Alan Beswick and Owen Oyston in the line up.

People have never even heard of James Arthur, Dean Gaffney or Sam Bailey, those 3 in particular....

Mad.

The 2nd one rings a bell but without googling it I couldn't tell you.

As for the rest

In a Mark & Lard style... WHOOOOOOOOOOO 🤷‍♂️

Ah no what a shame I'm on holiday that week, would have loved to cheer on some bloke who was in eastenders 20 years ago . Being reunited with koko's bezzie would have made my life complete as well. Might pop down the travel agents and tell them I've had a better offer.

Everyone's heard of Dean Gaffney ffs, he's been all over tons of comedy panel shows etc after eastenders.
Shows how much disdain I have had for TV for a few years that I had to google him and still I then only know him from East Offenders. 🤦‍♂️🙄

I am over 70 and know of several hits by James Arthur.
Well Sam Bailey, isn’t she the Leicester fan who coincidentally had her only major hit “Skyscraper” as Leicester were at the dizzy heights of the Premiership.

Dean Gaffney from Eastenders. Is Sam Bailey a singer? Never heard of James Arthur.
This reminds me of the brilliant sketch from porridge with Ronnie Barker where celebrities turned up to play a football match against the inmates but they never heard of any of the celebs.

She won the x factor about 10 years ago...

Only 1.5 billion views on that James Arthur song....

I lasted a minute with 1st one and it took 15 seconds of the 2nd comatose me ... Happy in ignorant bliss and thanks for the reminder of why had one ever watched it once before in my life.

Tbf it’s only like footballers doing karaoke…instead it’s the karaoke singers playing football…can’t say I want to watch either….🤣

The 2nd is clearly a well known song.

More pool legends confirmed.

Presume Holloway will be managing?

From the recent email...

"Organisers Sellebrity Soccer enlisted former Seasiders boss Ian Holloway along with former players Brett Ormerod, Alex Baptiste, Neal Eardley confirmed last week with Gary Taylor Fletcher, Danny Coid and Keigan Parker also confirmed over the last few days. Celebrities include the likes of popstar James Arthur, Love Island winner Kai Fagan, Soap star Dean Gaffney, Reality star Dan Osborne and X Factor winner Sam Bailey.

More celebrities and former players set to confirm in the weeks leading up to the game.

Sellebrity Soccer have partnered with two charities to benefit from proceeds from the game.

Brian House Children’s Hospice has been nominated as a local charity in memory of local youngster Jordan Banks. The charity supports families on the Fylde Coast and provides a home-from-home environment for anyone who needs it. They care for local children with very complex needs and life limiting conditions.

The Matilda Foundation was founded following the still birth of Stacie & Mark Cosgrove’s Daughter Matilda in June 2020. Since then, they have been raising money to take gifts into Alderhey Children's Hospital and as they have grown they have been able to go into hospices and care homes with an aim to grow the foundation every year."

It’s for some good causes. Might be good to watch some no pressure football at BR... 😆

You just don't get the point do you!!!!!

It's for a children's hospice.....£12 bloody pounds and you're cynical about it.

Children dying from cancer and other incurable diseases and you think it's funny to mock it...

You plank.
