Bidding war

Well at least we might get what we deserve, if none of them are willing to meet our valuation its a no.

Try and keep unless a silly offer comes in.

I’m sure Josh would look forward to being a bench warmer at best in the Prem with Fulham should they get there of course!🤔

I’m just searching for that thread from 6 weeks ago when numerous well educated posters on here proclaimed he was utter gash….

If we want to keep him can we post links to “he’s pony” thread on all the interested clubs websites who think he’s worth millions are pivotal to their promotion push to the Prem?
You’ll soon find it Chunky its every time we get beat!🤣🤣

I think that’ll be him going, but we’ll get what we want plus a sell on clause.

We’ll be able to get Brannagan and another.

As much as I love Josh, it’ll be next man up to cover his position we will receive a decent amount and overall strengthen the squad.

Don’t get me wrong, I think he is a great player and would love to keep hold of him ….. but it was just over a month ago people were criticising him for no end product…. He didn’t even start in one games.

If we turn down some silly money then his form drops in a couple of weeks we may regret it.

If Fabio Carvalho leaves Fulham for Liverpool, they obviously see him as a fantastic replacement and the odds are he would be playing in the Prem next season!

Fabulous player and we would be lost without him and pivotal to our present and future. I don't think he would get the long term support he would get BFC at another club and he is a player we need to build with. Next year we're defo Gona get promotion and with Critchley I think he's got a better future. Best player we have and shouldn't let him go UTMP

We've got be a club that doesn't sell its best players and build for the Prem and have no doubt in Critch we will do it and stay there.
We will always have to sell due to our low crowds but I get your gist
I’m ok with us selling our best players as long as it’s for well above the market price.

Think of the Coutinho deal by Liverpool- they must be still laughing about that now

I really don't think we should sell him until the summer. While I don't think we'll go down at all, we aren't guaranteed not to, and we would still get decent money for him in six months time. Plus, our two most creative players this season have been Bowler and Anderson, and we'd be going in to the last 19 games without either. We have no way of knowing how effective Kirk and Dale will be in the championship yet.

I would also be disappointed if we sell a good player at the first sign of interest, in the first transfer window he's here. I think it sends out the wrong signal. Yes all players have their price and we would put the money to good use, and it wouldn't be the end of world, but it does suggest to other clubs that when push comes to shove, we have little resolve in keeping our best players. Look at Oxford - point blank refusing to sell their best player even to a club in a higher league.....and I'm pretty sure they could've put the money we offered to good use too. It's about reputation - if we sell at the first whiff of money, we'll always be seen as an easy target.

If he doesnt play today I would think Fulham have already tied up a deal. Not too long ago that plenty of our expert fans said he was shite...those who still arent sure yet should watch the showreel above...He reminds me of Grealish at times and look where he ended up

I was a nay sayer about Bowler, & still think his end product is poor, but watch the opposition put 3 players on him now, that in itself is an asset... & look at all the clubs who gave good money for him, was it 4mill at one? But I think it's Critches coaching that has brought him on, still way off the finished article, but every time he gets the ball down that right wing, you think.... Just maybe this time... & just for that I'd keep him here if we can...

Very similar to Tommy Hutch in fact.

I imagine the clubs ( Critch) has had a conversation with the lad along the lines of ‘stick around and come summer you’ll be joining a Premiership or BIG championship club’ hence not joining Forest wasn’t too much of a disappointment’….

The chance to join Fulham (and to a lesser extent Bournemouth) may be too good for the player to turn down though as it’s almost a guarantee of top flight football, a big pay rise and chance to move back down south.

If Fulham offer £4/5 Million I can see him being off and we can’t have any complaints tbf.

Hopefully it’s sorted ASAP and we can bring in a short term replacement on loan to see the season out (the lad not getting games at Bournemouth) and it gives us the money to maybe bring in a couple of the Plan A’s we can’t quite afford atm (Brannagan etc)

well if he went to Fulham, Middxle wouldn't have far to drive him there which he said he would do.;)

Marco Silva has said that Carvalho is staying at Fulham til the end of the season, which may reduce their need for Bowler. Bournemouth are by no means guaranteed Prem football next season.

Here you go, gets funnier by the day.

Good news for Sadler that Fulham and their parachute payments are interested. Can see us getting at least £3m if their interest is serious.

Every player has their price and if we get offered enough I've little doubt he will go. That said, we've already turned down three offers from Forest, so we obviously aren't rolling over to the first club who makes an offer.

If he has a stormer today it certainly won't do his valuation any harm, its going to be an interesting few days until the deadline 😬

He’s great to watch but how many have we scored as a result of his trickery. If he fully addresses this we’ll not be able to hang on to him.

He's a great dribbler and does force the opposition to put 3 men on him but there has just not been enough end product. That's down to the other players as well for not making the most of the space he creates for them. I find him the most frustrating player since Gnanduillet. He's so entertaining to watch with the ball at his feet but he often doesn't release the ball soon enough and eventually runs into trouble.

If we were to sell him for £3-4 million that would be brilliant business and could fund our push on next season. I would be saying keep him for longer if he didn't have 18 months on his contract and also the position we find ourselves in. We are only a few wins off safety and it's probably too early to be going for play offs. It's a good time to try out other players to replace him without worrying too much about results. With a good run in the side, Dale and Kirk could be ready to really kick on in the Championship next season

I think we could see Bowler left out today, with Kirk, dale or even Gabriel in his place

‘it's probably too early to be going for play offs’

Regardless of what happens against Fulham today we are currently in with a half decent chance of making the play-offs. We get in them , we go up, (well, usually), and we get something like £150 million as a result.

How can that be regarded as ‘probably too early’

Not having a go at you OBB

It was too early for us last time, had the ride of our lives and nearly stayed up….and wee had shit money syphoning owners who wouldn’t pay for a decent loan keeper who wold have assured safety as it was earmarked for the Zabaxe taxi. It’s never too early to have a crack as last season showed.

Agreed. The money you win for going up is life changing for a club (under decent ownership).

he plays better when he is paired with Gabriel who tends to draw one of the defenders away when he overlaps Dujon doesnt seem to do this as nany times being more defensive minded

I think 4 mil is a fair price for Josh. Josh gets a move closer to home and a chance at the prem and we are handsomely rewarded for scouting and improving him.

We have arrived at "the last minute" - just over 48 hours to go. For the likes of Fulham, and any other suitors lurking in the background, it is time to make your move.for Bowler, or we all move on. Blackpool know that - set a price and await a response. What that price is I will leave to Simon Sadler and his team. He/they do not have to sell, so it is a seller's market. Interesting times.

Yeh I get what you're saying and we should of course aim for it, I just think it's a bit of a push with the number of injuries we seem to constantly get and a lack of creativity in midfield. Not complaining at all, this season has gone great so far and we play some good football. I would have been happy with 21st.
