Bilbao celebrations.

Has anyone else seen the Bilbao celebrations on the river in Bilbao, absolutely nuts, apparently more than a million people turned up, Bilbao population is only about half a million or so, bizkaia the region Bilbao is capital of is around 1.3 million. The streets around my village have been completely empty all day.

I' ll be there a week on Monday sailing in from Rosslare. Can't wait to get away from the rain.

I visited Bilbao and the surrounding area last year. Great city and my favourite area of Spain.
Took the train to Getxo and had a fantastic walk along the Bay of Biscay.
We stayed on the river front and could see the stadium from our hotel room
I'm really pleased they won the cup.

Great city to visit and also went to a match Bilbao and Athletico Madrid, great stadium
