We've always seemed to be blessed with good keepers throughout the years.
George Farm, Gordon West, Tony Waiters, Alan Taylor Harry Thompson and then along came two at the same time John budgie Burridge and then Big George Wood both excellent keepers who was the best probably equally as good.
John Burridge played 768 games and
George Wood played 776 games in their long careers. Take a bow Gentlemen Legends indeed.

Only ever saw Burridge play the once at Bloomfield Road and that was when he was in goal for Blyth Spartans.

Remember George Wood when I was a kid, he's always been my favourite Blackpool keeper.

For me 1990 onwards:

McIhargey
Martin
Banks
Jones
Rachubka
Gilks

Big fan of Maxwell as well

Only remember George Wood when he came back briefly on loan from Cardiff 89/90, well past his best and playing behind a dodgy defence doesnt give me the best of memories of him.

When budgie was playing well I didn't want Wood back in. When he came back in, I didn't want budgie back. Two excellent Keepers for us.

Have to say that I thought Lee Jones was very underrated. Awesome keeper. Then we got Rhys Evan's....Jesus wept. We have been blessed by some cracking keepers both permanent and on loan too.
