Maybe should have done a public vote maybe for a bit more transparency, to see if any were voting who shouldn't be.... i know, they're all as bad as each other but just to change the conversation...
Just to add - Blackpool South voters only please. Let's keep it scientific.
I’ll give you a clue. Reform are for potential Trumpites Green whilst ok is a protest vote mainly & you’d have to be barking mad to vote Tory after the shitshow we’ve been through.Maybe should have done a public vote maybe for a bit more transparency, to see if any were voting who shouldn't be.
Think you need to grow up with the labelling, obviously you seem a bit on edge by the poll so far.I see the RWNJs have been quick off the mark. I'm not going to cheat so I won't vote tempting though it is.
I could use my 50 usernamesThink you need to grow up with the labelling, obviously you seem a bit on edge by the poll so far.
Seeing as the poll is private I'd imagine there may be a few sad acts looking to alter it who shouldn't.
I've not voted as I don't reside in that constituency anymore, maybe it can be edited at the end to a public poll and we might see if anyone has been dishonest.
I take it you've read their manifesto? Or are you just spouting judgemental tripe... an odd thing to say really isn't it.I’ll give you a clue. I completely forgot about the Lib Dems oops. As for Reform/Ukip or whatever. They represent the populist right wing objectives & lure the vulnerable amongst us in to their misguided way of thinking almost as bad as the National Front.I take it you've read their manifesto? Or are you just spouting judgemental tripe... an odd thing to say really isn't it.
Agree about voting tory, a spent force that needs to lose the next election and maybe why many are going for reform.
Many people think they're all as bad as each other and the same old tired 2 party shite never brings real change, the only way to get that is to give them a kick and go for someone new.
The glib dems are so boring no-one really cares, the greens will hit motorists massively and completely inconvenience millions.
So what is left, reform have a decent guy in the by-election, say they'll actually do some of the things the Tories couldn't, lifting income tax to 20k to help the cost of living and get some benefit claimants back to work, also some sensible and common sense policies like some public ownership of utilities and stopping sewage in the seas for eg. A no nonsense approach, proper deterrent for crimes, looking after veterans etc. What's not to like.
Hey dude, relax. I'm cool y'awl.Think you need to grow up with the labelling, obviously you seem a bit on edge by the poll so far.

Misguided, vulnerable Classic, can't accept people have a different view so they must have been taken advantage of somehow.I completely forgot about the Lib Dems oops. As for Reform/Ukip or whatever. I vote thisThere should be a won’t vote option
We do! Howling Laud Hope is standing.Do we not have a Monster Raving Loony Party candidate in South Shore?
The time for criticising Labour is after they are in office and we see what they do.I'll vote Labour, not that I've any great love for the leadership and I'm not sure about Webb ( there's public sector and public sector fella) but it'll be tactical and I'd rather chop my legs off at the knee and crawl to the booth than see Reform get in (same with the Tories obviously but they could lose their deposit).
Like Mates says above 'none of the above' and a no result would be preferable.
I've also been watching it and i agree with a lot of what you sayWe've been watching the C4 documentary "Defiance : Fighting the Far Right" this week. Obviously almost exclusively shown from the Asian / Bengali perspective but a very good reminder of what a casually racist society we were back then. Mainly born out of fear and ignorance that was cynically exploited - but still pretty ugly.
Those brain dead idiots giving Nazi salutes in Southall haven't gone away. They've just got older and more resentful about their total failure to take decent, fair-minded people with them. All of which seems to lead some of them to defend the indefensible, thus putting their personal inadequacies on show for all to see.
It's completely devalued the meaning of it, Sadik Khan calling people against Ulez far right for e.g. or if someone is against mass uncontrolled immigration maybe, supported brexit etc.I've also been watching it and i agree with a lot of what you say
The point i take from it is that all too often people get a label of being far right in this country be it the government or various news outlets, even people on this very site
And to be frank it couldn't be further away from the truth when you look at some of the things the NF used to come out with back in the 80s
We live in a much more tolerant country now, that's for sure
Nonesense, being called far right has negative connotations given the way its perceived and can even have serious consequences.Being against the Ullez charge or voting Brexit is not necessarily the politics solely of the "far right", although net zero positioning is in that area.
Reform does share a number of ideological and policy positions with established far right wing parties in Europe. They touch on real issues (economy, NHS, housing) link them to populist talking points (defence security, borders, national pride and identity) and point the blame at minoritised communities (Muslims, trans, refugees the `woke`!). This is a trope of the far right.
Reform is basically a party for those who find the Tories too soft, so by definition it is on the "far right" of the political spectrum, just as communism would be on the far left.
Somebody has to be on the "far right", and seeing as Reform already have had to expel a dozen or so of their declared candidates for racism and such like, they would appear to be it. It is what it is.
And nobody is trying to "silence and shut down debate" either on here or in the media. That`s just paranoia.
Just embrace your "far-rightism" and fly your freak flag proudly. It takes all sorts...
"Being called far right has negative connotations."Nonesense, being called far right has negative connotations given the way its perceived and can even have serious consequences.
It's also ridiculous when you see what the real far right is.
So no, I and I imagine others won't accept being called that given what it's meant to mean.
Of course these slurs are used to try and shut down debate, it's a classic lefty tactic to shut down anyone they disagree with and has completely devalued many of these words that used to actually mean something.
In modern times the left have always been the most intolerant to people with views that don't fit with theirs, many just can't tolerate those having an opposing view without resorting to this silly labelling, which we see all thr time even on here with RWNJ and more.
So you agree it's not correct to be called it then."Being called far right has negative connotations."
l should hope it does. Being far right is being beyond the accepted norms of Liberal democracy. The Conservative Party has edged closer to that fringe over the past ten years albeit without quite crossing the rubicon. The far left displays similar intolerance. Fortunately, I don't see any of the left wing posters on here being far left. As for the right wing posters on here...I see what I would call the populist right, which is too far to the right for what I would class as being responsible right wing thought, based within a Liberal democratic consensus.
"you agree it's not correct to be called it then."So you agree it's not correct to be called it then.
What you've seen on here is mostly fine I'd imagine, it may be too far to the right for your liking, but that's only because of where you sit and the way in which the accepted norms of society we're supposed to go along with have massively shifted to the left.
For normal posters on here it's a ridiculous thing to say."you agree it's not correct to be called it then."
If the cap fits....
As for the political narrative shifting to the left....I must have missed that nano-second.
I'm not a resident so haven't voted.Think you need to grow up with the labelling, obviously you seem a bit on edge by the poll so far.

There is no such thing as woke culture. It's a contrived narrative of the right. As for groups on the left having an influence...is that wrong? For normal posters on here it's a ridiculous thing to say.
You probably would as we don't tend to put as much scrutiny on things we agree with. But you can see easily in the ways the woke culture has got into society and some groups on the left have very high influence.
Not under that username maybe...I'm not a resident so haven't voted.
Alright, we'll leave it there. There is no such thing as woke culture. It's a contrived narrative of the right. As for groups on the left ghaving an influence...is that wrong?
Ah yes, the old laughing emoji. It covers a lack of considered response. You, Sir, are condemned by your laughing emoji. I spurn you as I would spurn a rabid dog! There is no such thing as woke culture. It's a contrived narrative of the right. As for groups on the left having an influence...is that wrong?
In the imagination of Daily Heil readers.Alright, we'll leave it there.
No such things as woke culture... lol its everywhere.
You've replied to yourself you daft sod and no it's because it's funny to try and deny it exists.Ah yes, the old laughing emoji. It covers a lack of considered response. You, Sir, are condemned by your laughing emoji. I spurn you as I would spurn a rabid dog!
Oh dear....Time I packed in. Well spotted JJ.You've replied to yourself you daft sod and no it's because it's funny to try and deny it exists.
And yet.. there's idiots on all sides.Vote Reform for bigots and liars
And those who wanted fracking!Vote Reform for bigots and liars
Yes, I'm interested in that too. I suspect that the Reform UK vote is overstated on here, given that the AVFTT demographic is much narrower than that of the voting-age population in Blackpool South. For the same reason I think both the Conservative and Labour votes are understated. So not long to wait now, Labour expected to win, even read Conservatives are expected to be 2nd.
Talk of dirty tricks being employed...
I wonder if this poll be be anywhere near accurate?
We'll see, could be overrun with labour supporters on here...Yes, I'm interested in that too.
