Agree with a lot of what you say. Thing is how can it be sorted. I love this town to a point. I see how run down it has become since I was a kid and it saddens me. The town has great points to it. Fantastic sea front all the way from Star Gate to Cleveleys but then the good things end.
The back streets are rank. For everything good I want to say there's so many negatives.
Redevelopment, more jobs in the town, policing.
Even a lick of paint etc, make it look better and feel different.
Theres 10,000 trees being planted and they have done some a lot in other areas where there is already grass like verges.
The quick wins for planting trees are easy but some central areas as part of redevelopment will at least look better done up then you work on the social problems. Where its harder and needs more greenery is where they may have to do more ground works.
The greening up of Blackpool has begun with hundreds of new trees already planted around the resort as part of a strategy to boost the environment.

Weve seen the town crente improvements and they continue.
Obviously there's the central car park chariot of the gods redevelopment.

Also heres a central drive improvements of of those bad areas.
Stylish living, a new school, trendy shops and sports facilities would transform one of Blackpool’s poorest communities if ambitious plans come to fruition.

Land off Central Drive due to house future phases of Hollinwood Homes' £50m Foxhall Village could be redeveloped into community sports pitches by Blackpool Football Club to regenerate the Revoe area of the town.

If the club and council do the above it improves the areas round Bloomfield.
Theres tons happening, lots of town centre improvements, it'll take time.
Like I've said a lick of paint to some would improve the image if not the wealth of the area.
Jobs is key and this blackpool airport enterprise zone should help a bit.
Blackpool Enterprise Zone is progressing apace. It's an industrial-led, mixed use employment site incorporating Blackpool Airport.

So theres a ton of things, town centre based a lot yes but if the town is booming and money flowing we can keep funding more redevelopment in other areas, create jobs and slowly begin to turn things around again.
