They're a poor team, but we clearly have the core of a pretty good championship team for next season. We just need to stop writing players off without giving them a chance.
I think if we can ensure that we have adequate back up in the full back and attacking midfield positions, then next season could be very interesting.
 
Excellent game, excellent result and a fantastic team performance, Keshi was a revelation in midfield , Kirk and Beesley showed their worth ! The future looks very bright indeed !
 
Is Keshi a defensive midfielder?
Is CJ a natural on the right?
Is Kirk the right man for left wing?
Is Beesley experienced enough to lead the line?
Is Connolly good enough at right-back?
How often do we win 6-1?
 
Great performance from all the players this afternoon from the first minute to the last. You can also see the team spirit within squad with the reaction to the Beesley, Yates and Connolly goals. I watched some of the M'Boro vs. Huddersfield game earlier and we are not a long way off in terms of quality.

I'm here and I'm delighted that he had an excellent game today.
I genuinely hope he follows it up with another good performance on Saturday.
He's definitely a "confidence" player.

I'm not apologising for saying Beesley didn't have a good game against Liverpool because he didn't.
To be fair though I wasn't quite so critical as some.
What I will say though, and I've said this many times, if you play all the "second choice" players together they play like a "second choice" team.
Put them with the first team and more often than not they play like a "first choice'.
What Beesley had over Gary Goals today was that desperate desire to prove to his manager that he wants his chance, a desire to get in the box and find that goal scoring position and a little bit more pace to get there .

I agree with all that. I wasn't aiming anything at you.
 
I got the sore wrong as I went with 5-0 🙄 I'll go with 3-0 against Luton in that case. Lets just hope Fulham don't let us down tomorrow 🤞 PS I enjoyed today & I only just realised that oaf Bowyer was their manager, ha ha anyone who wears a suit & no socks deserves nothing, what a dick.

Yep, his urgency and ability to pick a pass gave us a forward momentum that Brum just couldn't handle. My MoM.
Stewart's a fine player but a bit languid, the only comparable player we seem to have is Carey - which is why Critch really wants Brannagan.
Get him, or someone in his mould, and we'll see more exhilarating performances like today.

Or maybe play Keshi in that role all the time. Maybe the missing link was there all the time?
 
One swallow doesn't make a summer and all that - but a massive confidence booster.
We still need to strengthen considerably for next season.
CJ did well - good for him because he needed to put in a perf.
Troy Deeney clearly ate all the pies.
 
Even though I was chanting it with everyone else what was the Keogh chanting about yesterday?

Madine wins a pen Keogh Keogh and so on. Was it something I missed or just celebrating his exuberance?
