Tbh it would be harsh to single anyone out as being poor today. Although not shining performances I thought Byers and Norburn did well enough breaking things up in front of the defenders. Coulson was ok - but it was so much better with Lyons on. Back 3 were solid and put a real shift in.

But there were standout performances from Gabriel, Dembele, Bees, Joseph and especially Grimmy. Get Rhodes fit for the rest of the season and we still have a good chance at squeaking into the playoffs.

Glad Hyde showed up today and not Jackyll (or is it the other way around?🤣)

Fair shout that Bill. Love watching Dembele . His first touch is amazing and so many of his little flicks , reverse balls etc are great to watch but also very clever .
Yep ..if Critch can adjust his mindset a bit re setup and how he uses players then this is still actually in Blackpool's hands . Beat Orient , Oxford and anyone else for that matter and .... Then the run in leaps back into very sharp focus indeed

Beez for me, with Dembele a close second.
 
I thought the balance was good today. Lavery not great but Joseph was very good when he replaced him. Byers and Norburn were good in CM. Dembele and Beesley (who I wasn't sure about pre game) were very good too. Coulson had a good game prior to being replaced as did Lyons who replaced him. Formation worked today and we looked up for it. Great win.
Gabriel too BTW is such a good wing back at this level.

I’ll do it for you and single out Lavery who was poor and personally I thought Dembele was way below his best….far too easily pushed off the ball. However, overall that was brilliant.

Today was all the things you'd want as a fan, excitement, taking the game to the opposition, good goals and good defending.

I'm not sure many fans can say the season has been any of the above in too many games. Critchley will know or at least should know that criticism comes with the territory.

The forum is a place where you vent, sometimes post emotional bollox but ultimately we all want to see entertaining winning football. And of course we're greedy because we all want it now!

So I get a post deleted in response to the one where Mad-link wished me dead and yet his post is still up. Typical Moderation on here particularly from one person who I can think of. Mine was certainly not worthy of being deleted but posts like ML'a and 65 and counting''s yesterday to Lytham where they wish people were dead are totally acceptable!!
 
Despite the "stats" I believe Coulson was subbed after Byers (15) who went off at half time with Lavery - our Number 7 is the new Dougall! Not sure why folk thought Lyons outstanding - I didn't think so
 
Great result.

A couple of great goals too.

Not sure what we were doing with 11 vs 10, we barely tried to pass the ball once. Kept hoofing it, annoyed me a bit.

We can be a weird side at times, pointless passing at times but the time it was actually needed, just to control the game and run their 10 men all over, we decided to play hoofball, odd.

Still, didn't matter but there's better ways to play 10 men.

Just need to keep winning.

Coulson was good in the first half. Norburn and Byers were fantastic in the middle and Dembele worked his socks off on top of his quality. All the strikers did well today including Joseph when he came on.

Same game….”some” passing was good but his 1st 4 passes of the match either went to the opposition or into touch and I lost count of the number of times he was bungled off the ball all to easily…..so instead of keeping the momentum going our way, it put us potentially into trouble and on back foot. 5/10 at best for me.
