Virtue is playing on a different pitch to the rest. The one he's on is very bobbly and prevents him being able to control the ball. The rest dont seem to have that problem.
 
I've no idea what Critch told the team to do but if it was "hit long balls to Simms and Yates all half" I'd suggest he be sectioned rather than sacked!
On the two occasions we actually tried to play football we caused them some problems.
Get it on the grass and play some ** football, Pool!

Wouldn’t want to bring him on, who’s gonna play him in? Same as Simms, just pump balls up to him, pointless.
 
Consistently out-worked. Every opponent seems to want it more. I feel sorry for the grafters (Yates, Husband, Vitue, Mitchell etc) because IMVHO we have too many who are walking around doing too little.

Might get slaughtered for this . . . Why did we not do everything possible to get Evatt? 😭😭😭

As soon as it get a little physical KK hides. Simms doesn't look interested either, at least Yates is in and out of the game and had a couple of moments.
Garbutt's corners are very good but we just don't meet them. If the Fleetwood performance was satisfactory then this is below..so far.

Turton (again) showing the way along with Mitchell.
 
I don't think anyone is surprised are they. Discussed the game this morning and it's turning out almost exactly as we said. The only difference from game to game is which players are the worst.
 
Right! Yates having to do Kaikai's stuff on the left. Bollocks. Get Kaikai off, Mitchell (been good) over to the left and Ward on the right. Wake Dougall up, he wants too much time on the ball. Get Virtue moving forward more. And....retain possession. We've lost the pinball battle. Keep it to feet.
 
Forget the high corners, put it to a man on the edge of the Pen Area.
They are too big and strong in defence for a high ball.
What about some shots from outside the area? Might work.

Someone posted earlier I think he thread that they just don’t get Blackpool at the minute. I don’t get it either...we just don’t seem to have a defined method.
 
Would take kai kai off and move mitchell to the left and get either ward or gabriel on the right and try to play the ball to feet not winning any headers from the long balls up top,got to try and play yates and wide men in a bit more and middle of park need to get a foot on the ball and stop rushing the pass

Maybe that's because the rest of the team, bar Turton and Mitchell, are not trying to play football and just lumping it or copping out and giving it to someone else to lump forward!

Not patronising but can we just wait until the end before bringing off 11 players and bringing on 5 subs?
 
Ward on the right and Mitchell over to the left. Kaikai off.
He has to stick with Simms for the first 15 of the second half.
 
Kaikai is playing in a team that has stopped playing football. That does not excuse his lack of effort. Mitchell showing him up for work rate in the other wide position.

Virtue is woeful in a key midfield position. If we get that position wrong, we are screwed. He comes alive if there’s a chance of a shot, but nothing else. The odd goal is not enough, he has little and his stats are consistently poor.

How can Ward be on the bench?

I wish NC had the nerve to throw caution to the wind. I’d rather lose 3-2 and having a go, than this.

There will be a biblical meltdown on here if the second half is anything like the first.

The performance has been atrocious admittedly, but the bedwetting melts will be out in full force calling for heads if we carry on like this for the next 45 mins.
 
Kaikai has been out of sorts for a while now. I think his confidence has gone. That cross from his corner just before half time sums up his quality.
 
Hoping for a traditional game of 2 halves here. Make the 7 half time subs or whatever number it is we re allowed and show a bit of pride, or appetite for it. If Simms isn't getting a touch, try young Holmes. Local lad who'd be plenty up for it and couldn't do any worse.

I'd be tempted to bring on Thorniley and get Hubby at right back with Garbs in front of him. A bit more steel required
