Blackpool v Burton Official Matchnight Thread 10.01.24

Burton have had the ball in our net twice but both ruled offside.
Our defence is at 6’s and 7’s when Burton attack.

I only watched the last 25 as was putting kids down but very poor. Thankfully it sounded like we were decent for the first 20.

All the quality has come from us that half, I’m enjoying it because we get to see different players and there really is no pressure.

Also I’ve just had a Pilates sesh which always lifts my mood and I’m off out on the piss straight after the game with a really good crew🍺🌴☀️

Right, I've made my mind up regarding Thompson, Tharme and sadly, Lyons. All need shipping out on loan or permanently. Good half from O'Donnell, Ekpiteta, Connolly, Dale, Virtue and Joseph. Oakley-Boothe has done OK and Carey is edging closer to my get rid list. Harsh I know but these players need to show they are desperate to play in our league games.

Some good moments going forward. These trophy matches have been like a little treat in a season of overcomplications so far. It only seems to be this comp where we get a normal version of a 3-4-2-1 with wing backs on their correct sides and the formation does what it's designed to do. So every pass through the lines can be a forward one for a runner without having to stop and cut back inside.
