Blackpool v Forest Green Official Matchnight Thread 19.12.23

84' - Marvin Ekpiteta bundles home a ball in from the left, with Pool temporarily down to ten men as Jordan Rhodes continues to receive treatment. He's now back on, and Pool are three to good!

Job done, next round gets a little extra cash into the club from Forest. By the sounds of it, overall it was a professional performance by the lads.

We were always going to ** them, we'll beat Bristol Rovers too. Lose to Burton. Lose to Port Vale. Beat Lincoln.
We can't afford to lose to Bristol rovers, Burton or port Vale.

We must see a positive run of results or we are falling far too far behind.

We all said that after we beat Carlisle. Rinse and repeat with the maestro in charge unfortunately…….although I really hope I’m proven wrong

Dale and Thompson were excellent tonight. Beesley worked hard and Morgan did ok. O’Donnell was untroubled and Marv won a lot of challenges but everyone else went through the motions. Pleased for Gabriel that he actually hit the target after we missed a load of sitters.

Norburn’s pass was sublime

About as easy a win as I've ever seen. If we'd have been more ruthless it could have been 6 or 7. Delighted for Gabriel and impressed with Virtue. Hopefully no knocks or strains, and obviously hope Rhodes is OK after getting kicked in the head.

Well all in all a decent professional job to get it done. We didn't look great and it was a bit tiresome at times but we were very comfortable and got the win. Onto the next game.

Joseph didn't do himself any favours with regard to a start on Saturday. Norburn's pass for Gabriel's goal was superb, him, Morgan and Dougall would be my midfield.
Final pass or final decision to pass or shoot was bloody awful, but it was a stroll really.

A comfortable, professional win in the end. Morgan was the standout for me, and Gabriel, Dale and Thompson did well too.

Highlight of the first half was Critch turning round to the west and telling the people yelling "Forward!" to fuck off and shaking his head for about 5 mins after. Luckily for him, I don't think many clocked him doing it, as it doesn't usually end well for a manager when they do that, however justified they might feel.

I was delighted when Critch did that.
We really do have some fucki*g morons in our fan base.
