My Father was a Football League referee in the 1940,s and 1950`s.
He refereed the above game.....I don`t have the programme but do have the Menu for the post match dinner at the Winter Gardens.
This game occurred at a time when we were one of the top sides in England,and was between Cup Final years.
Do you have any information on it?
I know we`d played in the Festival of Britain games a year earlier,and I know European sides were beginning to look at European Cups etc.
Also that the Football League weren't too keen on these.
