Blackpool v Huddersfield Official Matchday Thread 21.01.23

This game a win-win or a lose-lose depending on how you think about it. Win and we get three points that we massively need but it means that Appleton will stay who we have seen isn't up to it. Lose and we are further into the relegation zone but means we might be able to get rid and get someone in who might actually keep us up.

Win and it might mean the start of MA eventually keeping us up. The winning streak has to start somewhere.

Well they had better play a lot better, not only do we really need the points, but I am making the trip up for this game, first one for a few months (300 miles each way 😞) so I pray it will be worth it, or a long drive back on Monday.

Full support for 90 mins, get the bloody win or if goes pear shaped, it will be apt that it is Huddersfield. Judgement day indeed. but after the game please.

Looking forward to it actually. Bit more nervous than normal for a home game against Huddersfield in the middle of the season. Shows alot is riding on it already.

MA simply has to play the best 11 from the start. He’s said today in the gazette Madine caused Watford loads of problems and said he was collosus ( must have watched a different game to me) Madine gave the ball away too many times on Saturday for my liking
He’s simply gotta start Poveda Jerry. Bowler Rogers.

“Something has to change in terms of how we create better opportunities or make the goalkeeper work a lot harder than we are doing, because we’re getting into some fantastic areas and not making enough of it.”

Yes, the ** manager!

It was my birthday this month, and me and 4 mates (they aren't bfc fans) bought tickets for this sat when they came out. Needless to say I was not looking forward to it at all and that feeling was only getting worse...

Now. Here we are. Get the ** beers in. Eat the shit pies. The crowd is gonna be absolutely bouncing. Back to what we should be.

COME ON THE POOL!!!!

Regardless if you are a fan of Mr McCarthy or not, we MUST get behind our club on Saturday as it is the biggest game we have had for a long time. Give the manager a chance before jumping on his back and lets get Bloomers jumping once more!!!! UTMP 🧡

Right then now we’ve got the managerial stuff out of the way let’s get Bloomfield road rocking again on Saturday.

Wether he would have been you’re choice or not he’s here now so let’s ALL get behind him and the lads and hopefully 3 massive points.

Didn't you just spent the last two days saying you'd rather have Appleton back than hire him, it's a disaster, utter shambles etc. etc.

Appleton back was tongue in cheek no way I wanted him back shouldn’t have been employed 2nd time around.
That said you can’t say otherwise that our managerial merry go round in such a short period of time has been a shambles.
And no I didn’t want McCarthy but it was always going to be someone out of work so like any other (even Appleton at the start of the season) I’ll get behind him as it’s shit or bust time now.

What we need is 100% of fans getting behind the team for 90 minutes. There seems to be more urgency to leave seats 15 minutes before half time in order to be first in the queue for food and drink after a mere 30 minutes of football. Then a repetition follows on the 80th minute with more heading for the exits.

Really looking forward to tomorrow. Fast start to the game essential to keep the positive vibes going and North stand bouncing. Bring it on!

Mick McCarthy is a means to an end. Do I like his style of football? No, not really. Do I think he is the right man for the job? 100% yes. Welcome Mick, I wish you nothing but the very best of luck. Come on lads and lasses let’s give him a glorious BFC welcome and get the place absolutely bouncing tomorrow. I for one absolutely cannot wait for tomorrow. UTMP

I just hope the frost covers were put on today.

Just been out with the Dog and the ground is starting to freeze solid already. 🥶
