ok i get your pointI can knock the first 60 minutes if you want me to.
Do you ignore the positive comments as well. Bet you hate them.

Strange. Not saying that at all. I'm actually saying I liked Joseph and Lavery upfront. Here he goes again
So Rhodes should have played a full 90 minutes which was actually 111 minutes( 1 minute additional time in the first half and 10 in the second) and a further 30 minutes plus a further 4 ( for the additional minutes) in extra time.
Not the best policy me thinks and both Lavery and Joseph who needed the game time both came on and played well.
All credit to all the players tonight for putting a shift in but seems the likes of you would rather be critical.
Anyway I’m off for a good night sleep hopefully and you need to be up to get your kids to school,by the way how old are they again
The pitch has been in good condition this season but the elements over the last few days have not helped as it has been under covers and subject to heat blowers, etc just to get the game on.Good entertaining game tonight, trust us to make hard work of it when we were cruising really and extra time was really not what either team would've wanted.
You showed a lot of guts over the two legs so fair play. We had moments and were generally OK-ish but not as good as the pundits were making out. For a thrown-together team, in freezing conditions and on a bumpy, frozen pitch I can't complain too much that the job was eventually done.
And that is the difference, he would make the players believe they were better than they are, he did it with his team here, I can't help think that Critchley doesn't like his players to be like that, he likes them to be humble, he's like Uriah Heap!!Ollie mentions, the players look like they don't realise how good they are. Hopefully this will instill some confidence going forward.
Goodnight…and don’t oversleep as the kids need someone to get them off to school.Strange. Not saying that at all. I'm actually saying I liked Joseph and Lavery upfront.
Can someone point out when you make any….me and I guess most on here have clearly missed themI can knock the first 60 minutes if you want me to.

Saying we were shit for only 60 mins is a positive as it's not the full match. Don't be so glass half empty. Can someone point out when you make any….me and I guess most on here have clearly missed them
Don’t agree ref Norburn at all. He was good tonight. Very unfair.Replacing the ineffective Carey, Hamilton and Rhodes changed the game.
Joseph was impressive, Lavery busy but Dembele fluffed his lines.
Norburn continues to disappoint and Critchley needs to learn the lesson that the players prefer to take the game to their opponents and not be stifled by his negative approach to games.
In the end it was a very good effort until the players ran out of steam in extra time.
The players always knew what was their responsibility. He also played players in their best positions so they could fully express themselves. Critchley doesn’t see players he sees systems. Flair player like Charlie would get worse under a manager such as Critchley. And that is the difference, he would make the players believe they were better than they are, he did it with his team here, I can't help think that Critchley doesn't like his players to be like that, he likes them to be humble, he's like Uriah Heap!!
I remember years ago when my cricket team came to St Annes for a cricket tour I organised every year and we played against a St Annes side who had several 1st team players playing, including Freddie Flintoff and their then professional and got a really hard fought draw.We lost and that is never fun. We repeated the same defensive incompetence that has plagued us all season. But we also participated in a game that reminds everyone why this is the world’s best game and hopefully it will remind some of our team just how good they are and what their level of performance should be week in, week out.
Gabriel brilliant all matchConnolly struggling here I think. Can tell Albie Morgan is full of confidence. Lyon’s and Gabriel both looking rusty. Rhodes not had much to feed off so far.
Thought we started well and the atmosphere has been good can still hear us given all the depressing sales talk
We're a much better side with Gabriel, Lyons and Marv in the side I think. Norburn and Morgan are getting a partnership going, Morgan looking really good. And it's great to have Joseph and Lavery looking so live and dangerous, Rhodes has carried us so far in attack but we looked better when he went off tonight. Starting to have options. Just need to replace Kenny maybe. We were fantastic, we really were. Should really have won it with the Dembele chance, but hey ho.
Cracking game and that's the reason why cup games still interest me. Both teams really going for it, end to end at times.
After such a performance I'm not going to single anyone out for criticism, because as a team we were excellent and every player put in a huge shift.
For me, Gabriel is our best player. If you were to ask which player would have the most interest from other clubs, I'd say him. He has the mental and physical strength to compete at a higher level, and he's technically good too.
Kyle Joseph, as many have said already, put in a performance that demonstrates why we wanted him (even before Yates was sold). He's shown in his brief appearances so far that he's a capable player at times, and I never agreed with those who said on here he was poor and I think he'll prove to be a good signing for us.
Lastly, Morgan continues to improve. I started the season thinking he was decent but no better than what we already had, but he's been outstanding recently and really showing why we brought him in. Long may it continue.
Completely agree. Gabriel and Lyons are just better suited to wingback than CJ and Dale. That's nothing against those two who can be very decent on their day, but I see them both more as wingers than wingbacks. I feel Gabriel and Lyons are much more likely to win their individual battles, which is so important in those positions. We're a much better side with Gabriel, Lyons and Marv in the side I think. Not for me. He's one paced and offers little. Also, I don't see him as an inspirational captain either on or off the pitch.Don’t agree ref Norburn at all. He was good tonight. Very unfair.
joseph was superb and lavery not far behind.Completely agree. Gabriel and Lyons are just better suited to wingback than CJ and Dale. We do need to replace Kenny because imo he is our best midfielder. But having Lavery, Joseph and Gabriel back match fit could potentially make a huge difference to the second half of the season because they're all top end players in this league.
Marv I like, but I don't see why he's the one in defence to pick the passes (which he always ends up being), because he isn't very good at it. But definitely an in form Ekpiteta is an asset in this league, he's proved it three years ago.
Agree…I too thought he struggled at times and got bullied off the ball too many times…..touchline in front of east in extra times springs to mind. Not for me. He's one paced and offers little. Also, I don't see him as an inspirational captain either on or off the pitch.
Did you actually leave and miss that second half? For me tonight just underlines how the coach has the wrong approach to this set of players. He is in the way of us being a formidable team in league one.
Let’s hope he sees this and we get more of what we want to see and less of what we don’t want to see….both of which were absolutely crystal clear in evidence tonight
We are so much better than mid table adrift of the playoffs.
Worked with Fred's Dad, Colin for a number of years.I remember years ago when my cricket team came to St Annes for a cricket tour I organised every year and we played against a St Annes side who had several 1st team players playing, including Freddie Flintoff and their then professional and got a really hard fought draw.
I was chatting to Freddie's dad in the bar afterwards as he organised the game with me and I was shocked at how well we had played and he said to me; "You don't realise how good some of you are, you need to believe that you really are" It was a great piece of advice and I never forgot it and my cricket improved after that, quit a lot.
I tried to tell myself that about golf too, but it didn't work, I was just shit!!
Yes, I was there. The most enjoyable game of the season to date. Gave it a real go, the crowd backed them throughout, and we kept them on the back foot for most of the game, despite gifting them two goals. Great spirit to come back and really should have won it in normal time. Are you there Wiz?
He's talking to a Preston fan.Er Liverpool away in the Prem
And then at home???
The best times in football more often than not have an element of the unexpected to them and to get to see and to truly enjoy those moments you have to put the hours in and often have to endure some lesser occurrences.Wish I’d stayed now. Had no hope we would do anything in response to that second goal and I was feeling in a very bad mood about it so just walked out. It’s a funny old game ha ha!!
Very true. Both great goals but I’m talking about our Dembele! That would have sealed it within the 90’mins surely.Killer instinct was there to score two goals tbf
And I thought Lyons was outstandingGabriel brilliant all match
Gary Taylor Fletcher ?Great throw in, brilliant brilliant cross and a simple header, GTF in!!
Thought him going off was pivotal but presumably had run out of steam.Gabriel brilliant all match
The fact it was on the tv in case of a fight back was a factor to be honest. The best times in football more often than not have an element of the unexpected to them and to get to see and to truly enjoy those moments you have to put the hours in and often have to endure some lesser occurrences.
Grow a spine rather rather than slithering out on your team when its cold and they're losing to opponents from two divisions higher and you may get to enjoy more of those great times.
yep! Not my best decisionDid you actually leave and miss that second half?
Lyons was very good as was Husband. Husband gets up the left wing and supports Lyons. Husband put 3 or 4 great crosses in, and he gets back in Defence as well. The right was very different. Connolly plays more like a conventional centre back, and CJ gets very isolated. And I thought Lyons was outstanding
Thought the ref was really good let the game flow as much as possible!Incredible effort from the boys tonight
Ref is shit
Au contraire. The fact that we could have sealed it with the Dembele chance reassures me that we put in a good performance. We were never going to win the Cup so a good effort against a Prem side is good enough for me.Very true. Both great goals but I’m talking about our Dembele! That would have sealed it within the 90’mins surely.
We almost did it. I’m absolutely gutted.
Bit too much for me.There we’re clear fouls he waved away too many times.Fair enough it’s a cup tie but they were fouls where Forest could break away.Thought the ref was really good let the game flow as much as possible!
Honestly, I’m proud of the team for last night. I was responding to Blood initially here. Perhaps the next stage of us going from ‘good but inconsistent’ to a promotion winning team is that final ball, that final chance put away…Au contraire. The fact that we could have sealed it with the Dembele chance reassures me that we put in a good performance. We were never going to win the Cup so a good effort against a Prem side is good enough for me.
Husband was awful last night and has let us down a few times recently this season with his passing but was outstanding in the first 10-12 gamesLyons was very good as was Husband. Husband was not awful last night in the game I watched.Husband was awful last night and has let us down a few times recently this season with his passing but was outstanding in the first 10-12 games
I had the same when walking home, the Forest fans I spoke to said it should and could have been ours and was the kind of game that makes The Cup such a great competition.A forest fan came up to me and my son. Well done he said . that was some shoot out. he said the Forest fans had enjoyed their night out.
strongly disagree - not at fault for any of the goals - 3 or 4 great crosses that the strikers could have done better with. Delightful pass that put Dembele on goal at the end - some nice tackles and some good 5hithousing winning some free kicks and also some timely fouls to stop a break.Husband was awful last night and has let us down a few times recently this season with his passing but was outstanding in the first 10-12 games
it was EPIC just cup footy played in the right spirit. NINE goals over two games and extra time . almost thought it might have got to pens. val;ue fore money. Good luck to FOREST at BRISTOL city.I had the same when walking home, the Forest fans I spoke to said it should and could have been ours and was the kind of game that makes The Cup such a great competition.
